Data released on December 1 by the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance) on the preliminary GRDP figures for 2025 show that Dong Nai has emerged as a focal point in the national economic landscape.
With fourth-quarter growth estimated at 10.73%, bringing the year’s overall growth to 9.63%, Dong Nai continues to affirm its resilience amid ongoing global economic volatility. This achievement reflects flexible leadership and governance, coordinated action across the entire political system, strong efforts from the business community, and the unity and contribution of the people.
Notably, the 9.63% growth rate surpasses the Government-assigned target (1.13%), placing Dong Nai among the top seven localities nationwide in GRDP and securing its position as No. 1 in the Southeast region. This result demonstrates not only rapid but also substantive economic growth.
A closer look at each economic sector reveals a well-balanced growth picture for Dong Nai in 2025. The industrial–construction sector expanded by 11.52%, continuing to serve as the “locomotive” driving the province’s development, especially as Dong Nai remains one of the country’s major industrial centers. The services sector grew by 9.39%, reflecting a gradual recovery in consumption, trade, tourism, and production-support activities. Although the agriculture–forestry–fishery sector posted a more modest growth rate of 3.22%, it remains a vital pillar for stabilizing livelihoods and serves as a foundation for ensuring social welfare.
Beyond impressive figures, Dong Nai is generating multiple new drivers for the 2026 development phase and the years ahead. Import-export activities remain high thanks to a robust FDI enterprise ecosystem and stable production capacity. Foreign investment attraction has grown impressively, reaffirming investor confidence in the province’s business climate. Several key transport routes are reaching completion on schedule, and numerous large-scale projects worth tens of trillions of VND are set to begin construction in December, painting a vibrant picture of infrastructure development.
Among these, Long Thanh International Airport stands out as a strategic centerpiece. With its first technical flight scheduled for December 19 and commercial operations set to begin in 2026, the airport will mark the start of an entirely new phase of development for Dong Nai, positioning the province as a regional logistics–industrial–service hub, and significantly boosting its competitiveness and investment appeal.
Administrative reform must also be noted. This element is the key factor contributing to Dong Nai’s momentum, with citizen and business satisfaction indices consistently ranking among the top three nationwide. Transparency and openness in the investment environment have become a hallmark of the province, strengthening trust within the business community.
The results of 2025 are building a solid foundation for Dong Nai to sustain its growth trajectory and make meaningful contributions to national development. This undertaking serves as compelling evidence that the province is on the right track, driven by a spirit of innovation, social consensus, and a steadfast commitment to shaping a prosperous future for the province and the broader Southeast region.
