Toward the 14th National Party Congress, a major political event of the country, union members and workers in Dong Nai province have expressed strong confidence and high expectations that the Party’s strategic decisions will continue to advance the nation’s sustainable development while ensuring better care for the lives of the working class in the new period.

Expectations for social welfare policies

Dong Nai is currently home to more than 1.4 million workers, with an average monthly income of over 9.5 million VND. In recent years, under the leadership of the Party, workers’ living conditions have steadily improved; social welfare policies have been expanded; and housing areas and supporting infrastructure for workers have been increasingly developed. Additionally, employment and income levels have remained stable with periodic adjustments to the regional minimum wage. Notably, during the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, numerous humanitarian policies from the Party, the State, local authorities, and the Trade Union provided timely support, helping workers overcome the crisis and remain secure in their jobs and production activities.

With numerous policies and directives closely focused on improving living conditions, the workforce in Dong Nai firmly believes that the 14th National Party Congress will continue to adopt sound decisions that bring about breakthroughs in enhancing the quality of life for the people, including the labor force. At the same time, greater attention is expected to be paid to building a stronger working class, fostering motivation among workers to compete in production, improve product quality, and make meaningful contributions to the socio-economic development of both the province and the country.

Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, a worker at Long Binh Industrial Park in Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province, said: In recent times, the Party’s and the State’s policies have helped workers achieve a better life and settle down. I hope the upcoming Congress will introduce policies that ensure sustainable employment and further improve social welfare, including housing, kindergartens, cultural institutions, and playgrounds for workers’ children.

Beyond material well-being, many union members and workers hope that the 14th National Party Congress will put forward strategies for digital transformation, enhance labor productivity, and strengthen vocational training to equip young workers with professional skills.

Duong Cong Khue, a Party member and worker at Global Powersports Manufacturing Inc. in Trang Bom commune, said that as businesses increasingly adopt modern technologies in production, workers must improve their skills to meet job requirements. For this reason, workers hope to see more training programs in technological skills, foreign languages, and automation to better align with the demands of the evolving labor market.

One of the issues workers are particularly concerned about is ensuring a safe working environment, reducing occupational accidents, and improving production conditions. Many have expressed the hope that the Party will continue to provide stronger direction in the inspection and oversight of occupational safety and hygiene, as well as in improving workplace conditions within enterprises. Additionally, there are calls to enhance transportation infrastructure, particularly roads leading to industrial parks, and to increase investment in cultural institutions that serve workers and enrich their spiritual lives.

Placing trust in the Party’s decisions

At this time, an encouraging signal is that production at enterprises across Dong Nai remains stable, with increasing orders creating regular employment opportunities for workers. Pleased with their stable jobs, workers across workshops and production lines are competing to boost labor productivity and implement projects and initiatives to celebrate the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union for the 2025–2030 term and the 14th National Party Congress.

Accompanying workers, enterprises, and Trade Union organizations have introduced various forms of rewards to motivate employees to increase labor productivity. At the same time, efforts are being strengthened to disseminate the Party’s policies and the State’s laws through company channels, Trade Union platforms, and internal broadcasting systems. Grassroots Trade Unions have also innovated in their propaganda methods, notably through the online contest “Learning About the Party Congresses” in the workforce. These initiatives help reinforce workers’ confidence in the Party’s leadership.

Nguyen Duc Thang, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labour:

Affirming the role of workers in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country

In the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress, Trade Union levels across Dong Nai province are launching numerous emulation movements to celebrate this important political event. Now more than ever, the working class, the core productive force of the economy, is placing great trust in the Congress. As a representative of the labor force, I expect that the Party’s new policies and decisions will provide additional motivation, create new opportunities to improve living standards and working conditions, and reaffirm the role of workers in the country’s industrialization and modernization process.

Dinh Sy Phuc, Party Secretary and Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union at TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (located in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien ward), stated that the company currently employs nearly 34,000 workers. Since early September 2025, the Trade Union has launched the contest “Learning About the Congresses of the Communist Party of Viet Nam” to widely propagate the history, significance, and achievements of the Party Congresses, helping workers gain a deeper understanding of the Party’s guidelines and policies throughout each stage of the country’s development.

“The contest aims to encourage the spirit of learning and political awareness, contributing to the development of a workforce that is confident, knowledgeable, and responsible. At the same time, it serves to celebrate the country’s important political events practically and to raise political awareness while strengthening workers’ trust in the Party,” Phuc shared.

Propaganda activities for the 14th National Party Congress have been intensified at enterprises with large concentrations of workers.

Do Thi Ha, Human Resources Manager at Viet Nam Fortune Technology International Co., Ltd. (Binh Phuoc ward, Dong Nai province), stated that the 14th National Party Congress is drawing widespread attention from all segments of the population, including workers across the province. Representing the company’s workforce, Ha hopes the Congress will continue to introduce programs that ensure social welfare, improve both material and spiritual well-being, and address the aspirations of workers.

Doan Van Ut Chinh (Automation Department, Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd.):

Improving the quality of life of workers

In recent times, thanks to the close attention of local authorities, mass organizations, and various levels of the Trade Union, the lives of workers in Dong Nai have significantly improved. I hope that the Party’s upcoming policies will continue to ensure sustainable employment and further enhance workers’ quality of life. At the same time, attention should be given to improving housing, kindergartens, and cultural institutions, providing workers with safe places to care for their children and enabling them to live and work with peace of mind.

Many officials, union members, and workers believe that the Party’s and State’s policies in the upcoming term will bring significant improvements to the regional minimum wage and promote social housing policies that are practical, accessible, and aligned with workers’ financial capacity. In addition, they expect more vocational training programs to enhance skills and qualifications, ensuring that workers are not left behind in the process of development and digital transformation in modern production.

With a sense of responsibility, solidarity, and trust in the Party’s leadership, union members and workers in Dong Nai believe that the 14th National Party Congress will continue to introduce sound decisions, ushering in a new phase of development for a more prosperous, modern, and sustainable nation.

Nguyen Minh Tuan, a mechanical worker at Nhon Trach 2 Industrial Park, Nhon Trach commune, said that as social development drives up market prices, the lives of some workers remain difficult. As a result, workers hope that the minimum wage will be sufficient to ensure a decent standard of living. They also expect stronger oversight from State agencies over enterprise policies and regulations affecting workers, particularly in areas such as wages, bonuses, and social insurance.

“These are the concerns we hope will see changes and breakthroughs in the coming time, so that we can contribute with peace of mind to the development of both our enterprises and the country,” Tuan shared.
