Female intellectuals – A high-quality human resource for national building and development

The Dong Nai Intellectual Women’s Association held a thematic workshop on November 5 entitled “ Female intellectuals – A high-quality human resource for national building and development.”

The event were attended by members of Provincial Party Committee, including Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Hong Trang, Deputy Head of the Standing Board of the Dong Nai Party Committee’s Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; and Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Also present were Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Van Toi, former member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, former Head of the Dong Nai Provincial PartyCommittee's Commission for Propaganda and Training, and former Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Dong Nai Province; and Dr. Hoang Thi Bich Hang, former Provincial Party Committee member, former Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Council, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Union of Science and Technology Associations.

In her opening remarks, Dr Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Chairwoman of the Provincial Intellectual Women’s Association, said the workshop was an opportunity to review and evaluate the position, role and contributions of the female intellectuals in the nation’s cause of renovation, integration and development. It also served as a platform for sharing experience, building connections, and inspiring creativity and dedication among members.

During the preparation phase, the organising committee received 12 presentations from officials,members and experts. At the event, participants presented and discussed the role and position of the female intellectuals in national development, as well as their contributions across various fields such as education and training, science and technology, and social management, among others. Delegates also proposed measures to further promote the strength of female intellectuals in the coming time.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Thi Hoang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, affirmed that the Party and the State have always regarded education, science and technology as top national policies, with high-quality human resources playing a crucial role in ensuring sustainable development in the era of industrialisation, modernisation and deep international integration.

She noted that in Dong Nai, the community of female intellectuals has been growing steadily, leavingtheir mark in all sectors, including education, healthcare, science and technology, management, business, and culture. The female intellectuals in Dong Nai are not only professionally capable and knowledgeable, but also courageous, creative, dedicated and compassionate.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Vice Chairwoman the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang acknowledged and praised the responsibility, creativity and active contributions of the association, its officials, members and women intellectuals over the years. She called on the association to continue working closely with local departments, sectors and units to promote training and capacity building, particularly in digital skills, research and management, enabling them to confidently integrate and master new technologies.

She also emphasised the need to foster a fair working environment that encourages creativity and innovation, enabling each woman to maximise her potential, aspirations and dedication. The province will continue to promote communication and recognition of outstanding women intellectuals, highlighting the positive and humane values of Dong Nai women in the new era. In addition, the Dong Nai Intellectual Women’s Association is encouraged to support its members in digital transformation and scientific research, while expanding networking activities to build a dynamic, innovative and cohesive community of the female intellectuals.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Intellectual Women’s Association honoured and presented the Talented Women awards to 24 individuals who achieved outstanding results in study, work and scientific research in recent years.
