The first Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Congress for the 2025-2030 term, taking place on November 11 and 12, is a significant socio-political event, marking a turning point in the development process of the Women's Movement of the province.

The congress not only summarizes activities from the 2021–2025 period but also opens a new chapter driven by aspirations for integration and digital transformation, and reaffirming the role of Dong Nai women in the new era.

In recent years, despite facing numerous challenges caused by the pandemic and socio-economic fluctuations, the Dong Nai Women’s Union at all levels has demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and creativity. With the spirit of “turning challenges into opportunities”, the unions at all levels have renewed their operational methods, applied information technology, and implemented many practical models, thereby fulfilling all assigned targets and tasks. These achievements lay a solid foundation for Dong Nai women to enter a new stage of development - where women serve not only as a steadfast rear but also as dynamic and innovative actors in all aspects of life.

Following administrative restructuring and merger, Dong Nai province now enjoys many new advantages: it is a major industrial hub, home to Long Thanh International Airport, with strategic infrastructure, smart urban areas, and modern industrial zones. These conditions open up vast opportunities for development, allowing the women to further assert their position to the province’s growth.

Alongside new opportunities come significant challenges. The rapid pace of industrialization and urbanization requires the women to continuously learn and upgrade their professional skills to adapt to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Social issues such as domestic violence, abuse, loan sharks, online scams, and human trafficking remain complex, pose threats to the safety of women and children. A segment of women in remote, isolated, and ethnic minority areas still face difficulties in accessing education, technology, and the labor market. These challenges call for the Women’s Union to continue making bold innovations in its content, methods, and mindset of operation.

Under the theme “Promoting the tradition, potential, intellect, and aspiration of women; building a strong women’s organization and progressive, prosperous, and happy families; contributing to the development of a green, prosperous, civilized, and modern Dong Nai”, the first Dong Nai Provincial Women’s Congress brought together 310 official delegates representing hundreds of thousands of women across the province. This is also the pilot provincial congress selected by the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee among 23 provinces and cities nationwide that have undergone administrative mergers, a recognition of the remarkable progress of Dong Nai’s women’s movement in recent years.

Proud of their accomplishments and confident in the journey ahead, Dong Nai women will continue to shine and make active contributions to the goal of building a green, prosperous, civilized, and modern Dong Nai.
