On the morning of November 11, Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, chaired a working session with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) to finalize cooperation agreements for the 2025–2030 period. The meeting was also attended by provincial leaders representing various departments and sectors.

At the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son opened discussions with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on areas where Dong Nai province seeks cooperation in the upcoming period. The province hopes that the university will provide research and advisory support to enhance the quality of annual socio-economic growth, aligning with its planning for the new phase. Particular emphasis was placed on orienting the province’s development linkages with the Southern Key Economic Region and the Central Highlands, with a focus on strengthening connections with Ho Chi Minh City to fully tap into its potential and advantages as the country’s leading economic center. Notably, during the research and consultation process, attention should be given to the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress of Dong Nai for the 2025–2030 term, with a focus on breakthrough goals, targets, and tasks.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son stated that the Long Thanh International Airport project is about to commence operations, and the province has also been utilizing Phuoc An seaport while connecting with Cai Mep - Thi Vai seaport. Additionally, the province’s multi-modal transportation system is being rapidly completed. Looking ahead, Dong Nai will establish high-tech industrial zones and a large-scale centralized information technology center, which are expected to attract significant investment and drive breakthrough development and growth. Therefore, the province hopes to receive strategic and tailored advisory support suited to its needs.
Vice Chairman Le Truong Son requested that UEH focus its research and advisory efforts on areas such as innovation and entrepreneurship, school and hospital management, high-tech agricultural development, and tourism. He also emphasized the importance of providing solutions for training provincial- and commune-level officials in innovative thinking and enhancing governance capacity under the two-tier local government model.
At the working session, representatives from UEH shared that the university has maintained a cooperative relationship with Dong Nai province for many years. This collaboration has been highly valued by provincial leaders, recognized as effective, and is hoped to be further promoted in the new period.
Representatives of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciated the province’s proposed areas of cooperation. They expressed their desire to proceed with the signing at the earliest opportunity. The university is also committed to implementing cooperative initiatives with quality, efficiency, and professionalism, and has pledged to support the province with the necessary resources to ensure their smooth implementation.
