Dong Nai actively prepares for elections of deputies to 16th NA and all-level People’s Councils

Currently, the Department of Home Affairs is gathering feedback from relevant agencies and units for submission to the provincial People’s Committee regarding the establishment of the Provincial Election Committee. The decision to establish the Provincial Election Committee is expected to be issued in mid-November. The provincial People’s Committee also registered to submit at the 2025 year-end session of the provincial People’s Council a proposal and a draft resolution stipulating spending levels for the elections of deputies to the 16th NA and the People’s Councils at all levels in Dong Nai province for the 2026–2031 term.

Earlier, on October 22, the provincial People’s Committee issued Directive No. 05/CT-UBND on organizing the elections of deputies to the 16th NA and the People’s Councils at all levels in Dong Nai Province for the 2026–2031 term. In the directive, it requested all agencies, units, and localities to strengthen close coordination with the People’s Councils, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committees, and socio-political organizations at the same levels to carry out the elections in accordance with the law and truly become a “festival of the entire people.”

According to Ha Thanh Tung, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Home Affairs, Dong Nai is also preparing to attend the National Conference to grasp the Politburo’s directive and the implementation of the elections of deputies to the 16th NA and to the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. The conference, organized by the National Election Council, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 15, in a hybrid format. The event will be held face-to-face in the Dien Hong Hall at the NA House and connected online with provincial and commune-level locations in 34 provinces and cities across the country.

The Dong Nai provincial delegation attending the conference in the Dien Hong Hall includes the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of People’s Council, the Standing Committee of the provincial VFF Committee, the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, and the Department of Home Affairs. Meanwhile in Dong Nai, the main online meeting venue will be located at the provincial People’s Committee headquarters, which will be connected online with other meeting venues at 95 communes and wards across the province. Following the national conference, based on the Central guiding documents, Dong Nai will strictly implement subsequent tasks in accordance with the required schedule.

Earlier, during the third session of the National Election Council, the electronic portal providing information about the elections of deputies to the 16th NA and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term was announced. This is the official information channel of the National Election Council, accessible at https://hoidongbaucu.quochoi.vn/, and is linked via a dedicated logo on the National Assembly’s portal at http://quochoi.vn/.

According to a press release from the National Election Council, the launch of the digital election portal affirmed the strong commitment of the NA leadership and the National Election Council to digital transformation and technology application to enhance the effectiveness of information dissemination and publicity, ensuring consistency and transparency, contributing to the overall success of the elections of deputies to the 16th NA and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.
