The Xuan Loc Veterans’ Association was established on July 1, 2025, through the merger of the Veterans’ Associations of Xuan Tho, Suoi Cat, Xuan Hiep, Xuan Truong communes and Gia Ray town (under former Xuan Loc district). The newly formed association comprises 31 chapters with a total of 881 members.
Upholding the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers,” over the past tenure, the Xuan Loc Veterans’ Association has effectively fulfilled its role as a core force in local patriotic emulation movements. Notable initiatives include the Veterans Joining Hands in new-style rural development campaign and mutual-support models that help members escape poverty and improve their livelihoods.
The association has built a fund of over VND 2.9 billion, enabling thousands of member households to access loans with zero interest rates. It has also provided more than 10,000 seedlings of various kinds for production expansion and assisted thousands of members in accessing preferential credit from the Bank for Social Policies, with a combined capital of tens of billions of dong.
In implementing the national target program on new-style rural development, veterans have actively contributed by donating land, financial resources and labor to support the construction of rural bridges, roads, communal cultural houses, in-field canals and various public welfare projects.
The 2025–2030 tenure marks the first term following the administrative merger and the implementation of the two-tier local government model. The Xuan Loc commune Veterans’ Association aims to further promote the exemplary role and political responsibility of its members; to uphold their steadfast political will and the noble qualities of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” and “Exemplary Veterans,” while aligning these values with the fulfillment of the locality’s political tasks, with the spirit that every veteran must serve as a core pillar and a shining example within the community.
