In recent years, patriotic emulation movements across Dong Nai province have been launched and implemented seriously and vibrantly, receiving enthusiastic responses from all sectors, agencies, and people from all walks of life.
As a result, more and more exemplary role models have emerged and spread across various fields.
Emulation efforts contribute to improving people’s livelihoods
In Dong Nai, the movement on eradication of temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a humanitarian activity but also a remarkable emulation campaign with record achievements. The province completed its target six months ahead of the schedule assigned by the Prime Minister. The success of the movement has affirmed the strength of great national unity and the sense of community responsibility among agencies, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the province.

With strong determination, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committees at all levels in the province have actively responded to the movement through concrete actions. In 2025, the provincial VFF Committee mobilized resources to build and repair 1,334 great unity houses, worth over VND 111 billion.
Beyond providing housing support, the provincial VFF Committee also demonstrates its role in other mobilization efforts such as receiving financial and material donations worth about VND 1.243 trillion to support COVID-19 prevention and control. It also mobilized the public to contribute more than VND 142.7 billion to help people affected by typhoon No. 3 (Yagi). The movement “All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas” has also achieved remarkable results, with hundreds of hectares of land voluntarily donated and hundreds of billions of dong contributed by local residents, giving rural communities a fresh and modern look.
Through the emulation movement to eradicate temporary and dilapidated houses, the VFF system at all levels in the province has effectively implemented its role and responsibilities, helping build warm and solid homes for people in need. Each house represents not only a shelter of hope but also a foundation for ensuring that “no one is left behind.”

Along with the above movements, the province’s campaign “The whole province joins hands to build new-style rural areas” has also witnessed many exemplary role models. The Steering committee for new-style rural construction in Dak Lua commune is one of such examples.
Dak Lua commune was established in 1988 with extremely difficult socio-economic conditions (no electricity, no irrigation systems). However, with unity and determination from the local Party organization, authorities, and residents, as well as support from higher-level leadership, the commune met the new-style rural standards by the end of 2016. After a re-assessment five years later, in 2021, Dak Lua maintained its status. Through relentless efforts, by April 2025, the commune was officially recognized as an advanced new-style rural commune. From a once struggling locality, Dak Lua has made great progress, with significant investments in transport, education, and healthcare infrastructure, and a more efficient agricultural restructuring.

Resident Bui Xuan Bay, from Hamlet 3, Dak Lua commune, Dong Nai province shared that the new-style rural development program has truly transformed the locality. “Roads are now more spacious and convenient; our lives are better and more prosperous,” he said.
Also representing the spirit of unity and collective strength, over the past five years, the Executive board of Dong Chac hamlet in Tan Loi commune, Dong Nai province, has mobilized local people to donate 13 hectares of land, worth about VND 45 billion, for expanding and upgrading rural roads. They also raised over VND 1 billion and 1,200 workdays to build roads and irrigation canals, construct six concrete roads totaling more than 3.9 km, and install three street-light systems stretching 1.5 km. These efforts have significantly improved the rural landscape and created momentum for local socio-economic development.
United in emulation efforts
Many outstanding individuals have also emerged across sectors such as healthcare, education, and national defense and security.
In the education sector, the Da Kia A Primary School in Dong Nai province stands out as a model of excellence. In recent years, the school has consistently maintained and improved the quality of teaching and learning. All students have successfully completed primary education, and many have won awards at various levels. The school has led the local emulation movement for many consecutive years, earning numerous certificates of merit and emulation flags. All teachers meet or exceed qualification standards, with many demonstrating strong expertise and creativity. The school actively promotes education reform and mobilizes nearly VND 400 million in social contributions to support students and teaching facilities. With modern infrastructure that meets the 2018 General Education Program, the school was accredited for quality assurance at Level 2 and recognized as a national standard school at Level 1 in 2022. It continues to maintain and enhance these standards.
The emulation movements across the province have also received warm support and active participation from religious and ethnic communities, strengthening the great national unity in building and developing the homeland.
As Head of the Women’s Union in Suoi Dzui hamlet, La Nga commune, Dong Nai province, Dieu Thi Bin shared that she has always led by example in strictly following Party guidelines and policies as well as the State’s laws and regulations; while actively promoting and encouraging members to live and work in accordance with the Constitution and the law. She actively promotes and implements patriotic emulation movements launched by the Women’s Union and local authorities. She has mobilized over 92% of local women to join the union’s work, with ethnic minority members accounting for 80%.
Over the past five years, she and her members have established many meaningful initiatives to improve women’s livelihoods, especially among ethnic minority women. Notable examples include mutual support group for building compassion houses with 60 members; the economic development mutual aid group with 120 members that provides financial support for production; and health insurance assistance group that helps members in times of illness. She also formed three savings groups with 72 members to provide small loans for fertilizer purchases or children’s education, and a livestock-raising group with 10 members. To create additional income opportunities, she coordinated with local processors to provide cashew seeds for over 30 women to work from home, helping them earn more and stabilize their families’ lives.
In the religious community, Venerable Thich Chon Nghia, Standing Member of the Executive Board and Head of the Charity and Social Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province, is recognized as an exemplary model. With compassion and humanitarian spirit, he has actively mobilized monks, nuns, followers, and benefactors to engage in charitable activities such as disaster relief, house construction, scholarships, and support for workers and disadvantaged communities. He also works closely with local authorities and organizations in social welfare programs, environmental protection, and public security. His contributions have been recognized with certificates of merit and letters of appreciation from the Provincial People’s Committee, mass mobilization sector and other organizations.
