During the process of collecting materials, several historical documents required consultation with central agencies, which had not yet provided their feedback. Therefore, on August 8, 2023, the Provincial Standing Party Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 5638-CV/TU, temporarily suspending the compilation of The History of the Party Committee of Dong Nai province 1930–2020 (Revised and Supplemented Edition).

However, on May 7, 2025, the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation issued Official Dispatch No. 737-CV/BTGDVTW, guiding the compilation of Party history at all levels to ensure continuity amid the restructuring of the political system, administrative units, and the two-tier local government model. Accordingly, the research and compilation of The History of the Party Committee of Dong Nai Province must continue to comprehensively document the province’s leadership journey from 1930 to 2025.

To date, the Editorial Board has completed the collection of source materials, particularly original documents and accounts from historical witnesses, and finalized the section covering the 2020–2025 period, thereby producing the third draft of The History of the Party Committee of Dong Nai Province 1930–2025 (Revised and Supplemented Edition)
At the workshop, the Steering Committee for the compilation of The History of the Party Committee of Dong Nai Province 1930–2025 sought opinions from former Provincial Party Secretaries, former Deputy Secretaries, former members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, as well as experts, scientists, historians, and cultural researchers from both within and outside the province. Discussions focused on Volume II, which covers the period from 1975 to 2020, as well as the additional section on the 11th Provincial Party Congress term (2020–2025). The feedback will be used to refine the structure, content, and presentation of the draft before submission to the Steering Committee and subsequent review by the Institute of Party History at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA).
Accordingly, at the workshop, former provincial leaders, former members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, and scientists contributed additional materials (covering the 1975–2020 period) on the leadership and direction of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee in various areas, namely politics, economy, culture and society, national defense and security, and Party building, during the process of economic recovery, post-war reconstruction, and the mobilization of human and material resources to safeguard the Fatherland during the Southwestern and Northern border wars.
