Many trade union officials, members, and workers across Dong Nai Province have expressed hope that the upcoming decisions of the Provincial Party Congress will ensure social welfare and improve the sustainable quality of life for workers, especially migrant workers.

Vibrant emulation movements, practical actions

Ahead of the Congress, a vibrant emulation atmosphere has spread across offices, units, and enterprises throughout the province. Trade union officials, members, and workers have demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and confidence in the province’s renewal and development in the new term. At enterprises, workers have been initiating innovations, projects, and meaningful undertakings that help increase productivity and product quality, improve working conditions, and raise incomes. These emulation movements not only celebrate the Party Congress but also reaffirm the important roles of trade unions and workers in the province’s overall development.

Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labor Bui Thi Bich Thuy emphasized: “The Provincial Party Congress is not only a major political milestone but also an opportunity for the working class and the trade union organization to reaffirm their position and role in the cause of national construction and defense.” Trade union organizations at all levels have been promoting their role as a bridge between the Party, government, and workers. They have organized propaganda activities, disseminated and studied Party resolutions, while taking practical care of workers’ lives through programs such as the Trade Union Shelter, Gifts for Needy Members, and various cultural and sports competitions and contests on Party history.

Many grassroots trade unions have organized discussions for officials and members to contribute feedback on the draft documents of the Party Congress, demonstrating a sense of responsibility, democratic spirit, and trust in the Party's leadership. At the same time, they have provided timely updates on preparations for Party congresses at all levels to ensure that union members and workers stay informed. Through information sessions and communication campaigns, union members and workers have developed a deeper understanding of the Party’s leadership role, as well as their own rights and responsibilities, motivating them to work with greater enthusiasm and contribute to the development of both their enterprises and the province.

Le Dinh Tho, Chairman of the grassroots trade union at Y & J International Co., Ltd. (a Korean-invested enterprise located in Minh Hung Industrial Park, Minh Hung Ward, Dong Nai Province), shared: “As a core force in production and economic development, workers in Dong Nai in general, and in our company in particular, are constantly improving their skills, labor discipline, and spirit of creativity. This is why many officials and members believe that the Provincial Party Congress will continue to issue concrete policies to build a modern, strong working class that meets the requirements of integration and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.”

It can be affirmed that the trust and expectations of workers will be a powerful driving force for the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, 2025–2030 term, to adopt sound decisions that meet people’s aspirations and create breakthroughs in the new development phase.

“With the enthusiasm of the workforce, our grassroots trade union and enterprise jointly launched wide-ranging emulation movements for skilled and creative labor, while organizing cultural and sports events to improve the material and spiritual life of workers. This cooperation helps strengthen workers’ attachment to their enterprises, encouraging them to work with peace of mind and contribute to sustainable corporate growth,” said Mr. Le Dinh Tho.

Confidence in renewal and development

Looking back at the past term, under the leadership of the Party, Dong Nai’s trade union organizations and working class have made solid progress in all aspects. Trade union activities have been increasingly innovative and practical at the grassroots level. The contingent of trade union officials has become more qualified, dedicated, and responsible in protecting the rights and interests of union members and workers. Many creative models have been introduced to encourage members to feel secure in their work and committed to fulfilling assigned tasks.

According to the Provincial Confederation of Labor, today’s workers not only lead the way in creative labor but also possess mastery of modern technology, meeting the innovation demands of enterprises and supporting the province’s goal of developing a high-quality workforce. In support of workers, trade unions at all levels have launched peak emulation campaigns, calling on members and workers to actively take part in movements that contribute to the success of Party congresses at all levels.

Particularly, since the province implemented the two-tier local government model, wide-ranging emulation movements at units and enterprises have attracted strong participation from union members and workers. These have effectively promoted digital transformation, administrative reform, and innovation in production. As a result, many localities have achieved their planned goals, reinforcing public trust in the Party’s leadership. These achievements form a solid foundation for officials, union members, and workers to continue striving and contributing to Dong Nai’s development.

Party member Nguyen Thi Thuy Hoa, a worker at Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corporation Limited (Phuoc Thai Commune, Dong Nai Province), shared: “As a worker proud to have been admitted to the Party at my workplace, I am always conscious of my pioneering and exemplary role in production and actively contribute ideas and efforts toward the strong development of both the Party organization and the company. At the same time, I actively disseminate the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws to fellow workers, helping to build internal unity and strengthen collective power.”

Hoa shared: “I hope the Party will continue to focus on solutions that give workers opportunities for vocational training and skills development, enabling them to keep pace with the demands of the new era, especially in the context of digital transformation. I also hope more attention will be given to Party members who are workers, so that more laborers can be admitted to the Party.”

“I hope this Congress will adopt new policies to improve the minimum wage and ensure a living income for workers. At the same time, I expect better policies on housing, healthcare, social insurance, and transport infrastructure to help workers feel secure and motivated to stay with their companies.”

Great expectations for the Party’s decisions

With its strong appeal to both domestic and foreign investors, especially in the FDI sector, Dong Nai now has a large workforce. This reality calls for strategic and sustainable decisions from the Provincial Party Congress to further improve workers’ living standards.

According to Permanent Vice Chairwoman Bui Thi Bich Thuy of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, thanks to the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, and trade union organizations at all levels, workers’ living conditions in the province have markedly improved. To continue this progress, she hopes the 2025-2030 Congress will realistically assess the current situation of workers’ employment and living conditions in order to propose practical solutions and set feasible targets.

She also emphasized the need for further attention to workers’ material and spiritual well-being, stable incomes, and opportunities for recreation, helping them stay attached to their enterprises and contribute more to society, especially through job creation and vocational training for young rural laborers.

Ngo Xuan Dung, a Party member at Pou Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Vien Commune, Dong Nai Province), stated: “As the Congress approaches, union members and workers in my company are full of faith and expectations for new directions that will help the province achieve rapid and sustainable growth. I firmly believe the Congress will adopt policies to further improve workers’ living conditions and demonstrate the Party’s leadership in caring for workers’ lives and jobs. Personally, I am proud to be a Party member and determined to continuously strive to be exemplary and contribute more to my company and society.”

Nguyen Thi Mong Thuy, Party Secretary of Caesar Vietnam Sanitary Equipment Joint Stock Company (Nhon Trach Commune, Dong Nai Province), expressed:

“As the Party Secretary in a foreign-invested enterprise, I hope the Provincial Party Congress will adopt policies that help businesses operate stably and sustainably in Vietnam and in Dong Nai, showing the Party’s strong leadership and care for workers’ welfare. The working class is placing great hopes in the Party’s strategic decisions that will open a new phase of development where workers’ rights, status, and roles are increasingly respected.”

Nguyen Van Hieu, Party Secretary of Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Trieu Ward, Dong Nai Province), stated:

“This Party Congress marks a particularly important and notable milestone, as the province has just implemented the two-tier local government model. This breakthrough requires the Congress to identify a clear and appropriate direction, and it demands that the contingent of officials keep pace. The resolution adopted at this Congress must include long-term, sustainable action programs and breakthroughs. To achieve this, the province needs a team of dedicated, responsible, and competent officials capable of effectively leading its implementation.”

Nguyen Duy Hiep, a union member at FTT Vina Co., Ltd. (Long Khanh Industrial Park, Dong Nai Province), said:

“Most workers across the province hope that Party committees at all levels will continue to provide leadership and direction to trade unions, enabling them to truly serve as a source of spiritual support for workers; to wholeheartedly protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; and to demonstrate initiative and resolve in advising employers on the implementation of welfare policies and the building of harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations within enterprises.”

Many officials, union members, and workers believe that this Provincial Party Congress will once again reaffirm the central role of workers in the province’s socio-economic development strategy. Workers are not only the driving force of production but also the creators of technological and productivity breakthroughs.

Beyond hopes for socio-economic policies, many trade union officials also expect this Congress to mark new progress in Party building and in strengthening the connection between the Party and mass organizations, especially the trade unions.

Le Nhat Truong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the grassroots trade union at Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Vien Commune, Dong Nai Province), stated: “In my role as a Party Secretary in an enterprise, I hope the Party organization will pay greater attention to Party members who are directly involved in production and introduce specific support policies for them. I also hope the Congress will prioritize the development of a highly skilled, modern workforce as a key driving force for achieving sustainable development goals.”
