Official session of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress opens

On September 30, the official session of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure opened at the Dong Nai Provincial Conference Center in Nguyen Ai Quoc street, Tan Trieu ward, Dong Nai province. This is a significant political event for the Party Organization and people of Dong Nai, marking an important milestone in the province’s new development journey to build a green, prosperous, civilized, and modern Dong Nai, moving forward with the nation into a new era.

Before entering the official session of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 tenure, on behalf of the Presidium, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee Huynh Thi Hang reported on the results of the preparatory session held on September 29. During the preparatory session, the delegates discussed and unanimously approved the internal rules, working regulations, and agenda of the Congress, as well as the guidelines for group discussions. Delegates also discussed documents for submission to the 14th National Party Congress and the documents for submission to the 1st Provincial Party Congress. The Congress elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Delegates’ Credentials Committee.

At the Congress, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Council Ton Ngoc Hanh announced that the Congress was honored to receive the congratulatory flower baskets from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; from Party General Secretary To Lam; State President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; and Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang.

In attendance were former Politburo Members: Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President; Truong Tan Sang, former State President; Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, former NA Chairwoman; and Le Hong Anh, former Permanent Member of the Secretariat.

Also present were Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ho Thi Vang; People’s Armed Forces Heroes Luong Van Xuan and Pham Van Can; Labor Hero Le Van Kiem; and members of the Party Central Committee: Nguyen Thanh Tam, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission; Huynh Thanh Dat, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization; Nguyen Hoang Anh, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Policy and Strategy Commission; Vu Hai Ha, Member of the NA Standing Committee and Deputy Party Secretary of the NA; Nguyen Van Loi, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City NA Delegation.

Also attending were comrades: Le Khanh Toan, Deputy Chief of the Party Central Office; Quan Minh Cuong, Secretary of Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Van Quyet, Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Hong Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Tran Phong, Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province; Dang Minh Thong, Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Dang Hong Sy, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; Major General Tran Ngoc Huu, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard Command; along with representatives of central agencies, NA deputies of Dong Nai province.

The Congress was attended by former Dong Nai provincial Party Secretary Phan Van Trang; former Members of the Party Central Committee and former Secretaries of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Tran Thi Minh Hoang and Le Hoang Quan;  former Members of the Party Central Committee and former Secretaries of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Luat and Nguyen Tan Hung; as well as former members of the Party Central Committee: Le Thi Thu Ba, former Member of the NA’s Standing Committee, former Chairwoman of the NA’s Judicial Committee, among others.

In addition, former Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairpersons of the People’s Committee and the People’s Council of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces throughout various periods, as well as representatives of ministries, central agencies participated in the event.

Representatives of outstanding enterprises with great contribution  to Dong Nai’s development, religious dignitaries, and reputable figures among ethnic minority communities were also present.

The Congress gathered 450 delegates representing more than 131,000 Party members across the entire Provincial Party Organization.

The Congress was broadcast live on, television channels and digital platforms of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television; simulcast on VTV9 channel of Vietnam Television and relayed to 99 Party organizations subordinate to the Provincial Party Organization.
