Effectively implementing the breakthrough task on developing transport infrastructure

One of the three breakthrough tasks identified at the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 term, is: Mobilizing, allocating, and effectively utilizing all resources; developing a diverse, synchronous, and modern transport infrastructure system as well as promoting the development of urban infrastructure, technology infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and social infrastructure.

Dong Nai enters a new term with many outstanding advantages such as: a wider development space, ranking 9th in area and 5th in population scale nationwide; national and regional key projects have been, and will be implemented in the area, especially Long Thanh International Airport, Phuoc An Port, and 10 expressways...

Attending and delivering his guidance the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 term, Comrade PHAN DINH TRAC, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs emphasized: Dong Nai has a golden opportunity to break through and develop, becoming a dynamic growth pole, a modern industrial, service, logistics, tourism center, and high-tech agriculture hub of the Southern region and the whole country. In particular, he specifically noted: The province needs to mobilize all possible resources to synchronously develop socio-economic infrastructure, along with maximizing the exploitation of Long Thanh International Airport to make Dong Nai a multi-regional connection center, a logistics center, and a southern transit gateway for the whole country.

Comrade Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: Facing opportunities and challenges, in the next 5 years, Dong Nai province identifies strategic infrastructure development as one of the key breakthrough tasks, serving as a driving force and a guiding factor for economic growth.

Thereby, the province identified the need to focus on 7 strategic pillars. These are: Completing synchronous and modern infrastructure, enhancing multi-modal connectivity; promoting the special advantages of Long Thanh Airport and Hoa Lu Border Gate Economic Zone; building a smart, interconnected, multi-modal logistics network for road - railway - waterway - airway transport. Along with that is developing a modern, civilized urban system, rich in identity, green and smart; ensuring green, sustainable energy infrastructure, prioritizing the development of renewable energy, clean energy, associated with the national energy transition roadmap; promoting digital transformation, developing modern digital infrastructure, considering this as a foundation to improve productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness; building environmental infrastructure adapted to climate change, protecting and improving the environment, sustainable development and ecological balance.

In the Action Program of the Provincial Party Executive Board to implement the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, 2025-2030 term, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee also identified many breakthrough tasks, including: Building mechanisms and policies for mobilization, allocation, effectively utilizing all resources for development in Dong Nai province; building the Dong Nai Provincial Infrastructure Development Program, 2026-2030 period...

Localities in the province are closely following Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, for the 2025-2030 term, especially the key and breakthrough tasks to concretize them to suit local characteristics.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward Comrade Ho Van Nam said: With its position as a trade gateway between Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, and also an important driving force for socio-economic development of the entire province, Tran Bien Ward is determined to build the locality into a modern, civilized, sustainable central urban area, worthy of its historical position and outstanding potential. The ward has proposed key solutions for the coming time. In which, planning is determined to come first – infrastructure serves as the foundation - and sustainable development is taken as the root. The ward focuses on accelerating the progress of establishing 1/2,000 subdivision planning; completing key connecting traffic projects such as: riverside road, central axis road connecting Thong Nhat bridge, Cai river road... upgrading the drainage system, smart lighting, urban flood control.

Comrade Ho Van Nam emphasized: During the process of leading and directing the implementation, the ward determined that a strong Party is key; taking the people as the center; upholding the spirit of being vanguard – staying decisive - acting in task execution; cadres must be exemplary, dare to think, dare to do; promote the strength of solidarity, mobilize non-budgetary resources to accelerate the implementation of socio-economic infrastructure projects.

Meanwhile, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Thanh Commune Comrade Duong Minh Dung said: With the special advantage from the Long Thanh International Airport Project, the locality will promote the completion of synchronous planning; update the general urban planning of Long Thanh associated with provincial and regional planning; integrate airport planning with urban systems, industrial parks, and logistics. Along with that, the commune will prioritize traffic routes directly connecting the airport with seaports, industrial parks, satellite cities; accelerate projects of ring roads and expressways, as well as build preferential mechanisms, promote public-private cooperation, actively promote investment, attract ODA, FDI capital and multinational corporations...

The Secretary of the Long Thanh Commune Party Committee affirmed: Long Thanh is determined to promote the advantages of the locality, especially taking advantage of opportunities from the Long Thanh International Airport Project, promoting the strength of solidarity of the entire people, mobilizing all social resources to the maximum, being determined to make Long Thanh a modern international gateway, a new growth pole of Dong Nai and the whole country.
