Dong Nai celebrates 95th anniversary of Vietnam Farmers' Union

On the morning of October 10, the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers' Union organized a meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (October 14, 1930 - 2025) and to summarize advanced models of the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers' Union for the 2020-2025 period.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province; members of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Thi Thai, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Quoc Dung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation; Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province; leaders, officials, and farmer members of various periods.

In the 2020-2025 period, the Provincial Farmers' Union achieved many important results, affirming its key role in building new-style rural areas, developing modern agriculture, integrating internationally, and actively contributing to the overall achievements of the province.

The entire province currently has over 192,200 farmer members, operating in 95 grassroots organizations, nearly 1,700 branches, and over 7,900 farmer groups. The total outstanding loans from the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund currently exceed 280.7 billion VND, forming hundreds of effective production and business models.

The Movement of farmers competing to be good at production and business has spread widely; the entire province currently has over 86,000 farmer households good at production and business at all levels, of which nearly 2 thousand households have achieved provincial level and dozens of households have achieved central level.

The Provincial Farmers' Union launched an emulation movement for the 2025-2030 period with the theme: "Officials and farmer members continue to unite, innovate, apply digital transformation, develop collective economy, and build smart new-style rural areas."

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Huynh Thi Hang respectfully expressed deep gratitude to the generations of Farmers' Union officials through various periods - those who laid the foundation, dedicated their intellect, enthusiasm, and courage to build an increasingly strong organization.

Giving her orientation for the new period, comrade Huynh Thi Hang requested that all levels of the Provincial Farmers' Union continue to consolidate and build a strong organization, serving as a reliable support for members and farmers; promoting its central and core role in the great national unity bloc.

Comrade Huynh Thi Hang also asked the union to promote propaganda and mobilization of farmers to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws, especially programs on developing agriculture, building new-style rural areas, and civilized urban areas.

All levels of the union are requested to continue to promote the movement of Farmers competing to be good at production and business. Stronger attention should be paid to supporting, encouraging, and creating conditions for farmers to apply science and technology, borrow capital, convert crop and livestock structures, provide vocational training for rural laborers, improve productivity, and enhance the material and spiritual lives of farmers. Along with that, focus should be placed on building a team of union officials with strong political courage, capacity, qualities, prestige, and dedication to the farmers' movement.
