Chon Thanh youth sets three breakthrough tasks for 2025–2030 tenure

On October 19, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Chon Thanh ward, Dong Nai province successfully held its first Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure. Representatives of the Provincial Youth Union, the ward’s leadership, and 140 official delegates representing 1,245 youth union members and young people in the area attended the event.

During the 2022–2025 period, Chon Thanh ward’s Youth Union work and youth movements recorded positive results, notably in communication, education, and fostering revolutionary ideals, morality, and lifestyle among young people. Key campaigns such as “Young volunteers,” “Creative youth,” and “Youth safeguarding the Fatherland” were carried out widely, attracting large numbers of union members and young people. These activities created an environment for dedication, training, and grow. During this period, over 1,000 youth union members participated in major volunteer programs including “Green Sunday,” “Volunteer Saturday,” and “Volunteer youths building a civilized urban area.”

Support activities for young people in learning, entrepreneurship, skill training, physical development, and cultural enrichment saw significant innovation. Social welfare programs and initiatives for new-style rural development and civilized urban areas were implemented effectively, bringing practical benefits to the community. So far, the ward’s Youth Union has developed eight startup models, two of which have received preferential loan support and technical guidance, helping young people secure stable income. The ward’s Youth Union has also introduced 120 outstanding union members to the Party organization for consideration, of whom 38 have been admitted.

Delegates attending the Congress discussed and reached high consensus on 13 key tasks and three breakthrough missions for the new tenure. The three breakthrough missions include: strongly renewing the Youth Union’s operational methods in the digital era; implementing the project “Building a happy Chon Thanh ward for the 2025–2030 period, with orientation to 2035” and the “Strategic vision for Chon Thanh’s development to 2045”; and fostering a young generation with strong patriotism, revolutionary ideals, and a sense of community responsibility.

The Congress announced the decision of the Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee appointing the Chon Thanh ward Youth Union’s Executive Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure, consisting of 19 members. The delegation attending the upper-level congress includes two official delegates and one alternate delegate.

With the slogan “Pioneering – Volunteering – Creativity – Development,” Chon Thanh’s young generation is determined to effectively implement the resolution of the Congress. This effort aims to contribute to achieving the local socio-economic goals, building a young generation in the ward with strong character, knowledge, health, and practical skills to meet the demands of the new era, strengthening the Youth Union as a united and reliable home for local youth.
