Binh Long Ward Youth Union successfully holds a pilot congress

After the preliminary session, on the morning of October 3, 120 official delegates representing more than 2,500 young people in Binh Long ward attended the official session of the 1st Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress of Binh Long ward, term 2025-2030. This is the only unit selected by the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union to organize the grassroots-level pilot congress.

Binh Long Ward Youth Union was established on the basis of merging the Youth Unions of Hung Chien, Phu Duc, Phu Loc wards and Thanh Binh commune. In the period 2022-2025, the Youth Union work and youth and children's movements in Binh Long ward have achieved positive results in all aspects of activities.

The education work of the Youth Union is always emphasized and has many innovations. Revolutionary action movements continue to be promoted, especially volunteer activities for community life. Programs accompanying young people are promoted, bringing practical effectiveness, contributing to better meeting the needs, aspirations, rights, and legitimate interests of young people.

Many positive developments have been made in the care and education of teenagers and children; and in youth-related international relations. Efforts to build a strong Youth Union, expand the front of solidarity, and mobilize young people to participate in the construction and protection of the Party and the political system have been emphasized.

In the 2025-2030 term, the goal of the Binh Long Ward Youth Union is to build young people with revolutionary ideals, political courage, and profound patriotism; who possess self-reliance, resilience, and a desire to contribute to the prosperity and happiness of their homeland and country; and are responsible for themselves, their families, and society. The goal is also to build a model of young people with intelligence, ethics, health, cultural values; with the will to establish themselves and their careers; dynamic, creative, and applying modern scientific and technological achievements. The Youth Union also aims at building a truly strong, developed, and innovative Ward Youth Union. To achieve this goal, the congress set out 15 targets, 3 key tasks, and 5 key solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Minh Kien highlighted the challenges facing the Youth Union organization, union members, and young people in the new context.

In addition to agreeing with the directions, tasks, and solutions proposed by the Binh Long Ward Youth Union for the 2025-2030 term, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Minh Kien suggested that the Binh Long Ward Youth Union take advantage of the attention and leadership of the Party committees and authorities to effectively implement the tasks of the new term. At the same time, he offered suggestions and orientations to help the Binh Long Ward Youth Union concretize the motto of the congress.

Implementing the motto of solidarity, Youth Union levels in the ward need to organize activities and movements to attract union members and young people. The pioneering spirit must be concretized through specific projects, tasks, and actions, not just through slogans. Regarding innovation, Provincial Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Minh Kien proposed that Binh Long Ward Youth Union focus on innovating the organization and operational methods of the Union... contributing to realizing the nation's aspiration to rise.

At the congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of Binh Long Ward Youth Union, consisting of 23 members. Comrade Nguyen Van Can was appointed Secretary of the first Binh Long Ward Youth Union. At the same time, 5 delegates were appointed to attend the 1st Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Dong Nai Province, for the 2025-2030 term.

On this occasion, Binh Long Ward Youth Union commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in youth union work and youth and children's movements during the 2022-2025 period.
