Strength comes from people's hearts and minds

Throughout the revolutionary journey, our Party has always affirmed that the great strength of the nation lies in the people's hearts and minds, their trust, and their consensus with the Party. Cadres, Party members, and citizens who accompany the Party will contribute to creating the great strength of national unity. From there, the Party's resolutions will come to life, becoming a driving force for the sustainable development of the country and localities.

In reality, when the people's trust is multiplied, from homes in remote and border areas to the commune and ward centers; from civil works to production models, the imprint of the Party's will - the people's hearts and mind as well as the spirit of unity are always present, bringing tangible effectiveness.

Working together to build the homeland

Thuan Loi commune (Dong Nai province) has undergone a significant transformation in its appearance and in the lives of local people. Inter-hamlet roads have been concretized, and public works invested in a spacious manner, contributing to improving the quality of life for the people. Not only have they become subjects in economic development and homeland construction, but the people are also active in maintaining security and order, protecting the environment, and building a cultural life in residential areas.

Secretary of Thuan Binh hamlet Party cell, Thuan Loi commune, Nguyen Quang Suong shared: "Implementing the policy of "embellishment and greening of rural areas" launched by the Commune People's Committee, we organized mobilization and propaganda to the people in the hamlet, which received active response from all members, union members, and people. The people have supported the embellishment of all roads in the hamlet as well as the commune center."

In Dong Xoai ward (Dong Nai province), newly opened roads are gradually taking shape, thanks not only to state investment but also to the meaningful contributions of the people. Many households here have voluntarily donated their land, dismantled structures, and joined hands with local authorities to build infrastructure and expand the urban areas. The people's joint efforts are not merely square meters of land contributed but also a testament to the spirit of unity and responsibility of the people when they understand the long-term and practical benefits for the community. And the story of the people's consensus and contributions becomes a vivid proof of the spirit of "the Party's will aligning with the people's hearts and mind."

As one of the households that donated land to join hands with the locality to construct Pham Ngoc Thach road, Le Thi Thuy (a resident from Tien Thanh 5 residential area, Dong Xoai ward) shared: "Although my family's donation to the road is small, it helps make the road cleaner and more spacious, contributing to making our locality more developed, and also holding much signigicance to our children and grandchildren in the future."

After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, Dong Nai has achieved important and quite comprehensive results, with 60 out of 70 targets achieved and exceeded. The economy has grown well, and the economic structure has shifted positively and in the right direction. The economic growth rate of the province in the 2021-2025 period reached 7.11% per year. These results have affirmed the strength of unity, joint efforts in overcoming difficulties and challenges; the dynamism and creativity in implementing tasks for the sustainable development of the locality.

In Binh Minh commune (Dong Nai province), in the 2020-2025 period, the commune has recorded very positive results. The economy has gradually increased the proportion of industry - trade - services; the people's lives have been improved.

Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Minh commune, Nguyen Kim Phuoc shared: "Right from the beginning of the term, we have identified breakthrough goals and tasks to implement. The good news is that the people always accompany the locality. Residents not only participate in contributing labor and materials to build infrastructure but also actively respond to new economic models and develop commodity production, associated with modern scientific and technical applications, bringing high economic efficiency."

Listening to people to move forward together

After the administrative reorganization, communes and wards manage wider, larger areas with larger population. Therefore, being close to the people, having a firm grasp of the locality, and creating consensus among the people are very necessary. Recently, many Party committees and authorities at the commune and ward levels in the province have organized meetings and dialogues with the people at the grassroots.

Attending the dialogue between the Party Committee, authorities, and Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Nhau commune with Party members and people of Dak Lien village (Dak Nhau commune) held in July 2025, Bui Sy Cau, as well as many Party members and people in the village, highly appreciated that on the weekend, the commune leaders visited the residential area to meet and dialogue with Party members and people.

Bui Sy Cau said: "When I heard that the Party Committee, authorities, and Fatherland Front Committee of the commune would meet and hold dialogue with the people, I and other residents were very happy and eagerly attended the meeting in large numbers. I find such dialogues very practical and meaningful. People are informed and have their questions about social issues and difficulties answered, which is truly essential."

The meeting and dialogue organized by the Standing Committee of the Dak Nhau Commune Party Committee with Party members and people were not formalistic. Instead, people were able to directly express their opinions democratically on social issues, economic development, and contribute ideas to the grassroots government.

Thi Ngan, a resident of Dak Lien village, shared: "The organization of such a dialogue forum by the Party Committee, authorities, and Fatherland Front is very beneficial for the people. Because when commune leaders come to the village, people will be more confident in exchanging views and contributing ideas on various fields. In addition, commune leaders also provide people with more information about the plans and policies of the Party and State in the coming time."

Building the Party from the people's hearts and mind is not only a motto but also an essential requirement for our Party to become increasingly transparent, strong, and worthy of the people's trust. When the Party's will harmonizes with the people's hearts, it will form a strength of consensus which spreads throughout society.

Vu Thi Tuyet, a Party member of Phu Tam village cell, Phu Trung commune (Dong Nai province), happily said: "I see many new things at the commune and ward levels today. That is the enthusiastic, close-to-the-people, and more open spirit and working attitude of cadres, civil servants, and public employees. That is what we long for."

In the 2020-2025 period, despite many difficulties, with the solidarity and efforts of the entire Party Committee and the consensus of the people, Phuoc Binh ward achieved many important results. The economy maintained a high growth momentum, with an average annual production value growth rate of 14.33%, exceeding the set target. These results were achieved through the solidarity between cadres and people, and between local organizations and associations.

"Preserving and promoting the strength of the entire people is very important. The strength of the entire people can only be achieved when we build the people's trust, gain the absolute trust of the people in the Party and the government, and from that trust, it will transform into positive actions, which collectively become the strength of the entire people," shared Huynh Thi Thuy Trang, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee of Phuoc Binh ward (Dong Nai province).

Creating consensus

After the reorganization, Dong Nai province has 95 administrative units at the commune and ward levels, including 72 communes and 23 wards. The new commune level is not only innovating in the administrative apparatus but also creating strong changes in social life. Each new commune is not only a place name but also embodies a new journey and also a belief in a service-oriented administration, an enabling government. And above all, it is the consensus and trust of the people that serve as the foundation for local Party committees and authorities to move forward steadily in the new era.

Vu Van Doan, Secretary of the Party cell of Tan Thanh 2 residential area, Dong Xoai ward (Dong Nai province), shared: "With the two-tier local government in operation, I see many advantages. The service attitude of cadres, civil servants, and public employees has changed positively, they are always enthusiastic and welcoming, help the people wholeheartedly and thoughtfully. And when the people accompany and trust us, their joint efforts for the development of the locality follows naturally."

The changes in the localities within the province and the achievements in various fields of Dong Nai province during the 2020-2025 term not only came from the sound policies and good approaches but also from the awakened trust, unity, and spirit of the people.”

Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province Ha Anh Dung stated: "The Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front always listen to the voices of the people by grasping the public sentiment, increasing interaction with the people from residential areas, in order to bring the policies and decisions of the Central government and the province to each residential area, to each person. Moreover, one of the requirements that the Fatherland Front is extremely concerned about currently is building a model of safe, united, prosperous, and happy residential areas."

Party building must be further strengthened along with building a clean and strong political system. This is a key, fundamental, and long-term strategic task; it is also an important, regular, and urgent task. The goal of Party building is to ensure the further enhancement of the leadership capacity, governing capacity, and fighting strength of the entire Party Committee, and the solidarity and unity within the Party. Ongoing efforts must be made to promote the tradition of great national unity, the tradition of the arduous yet heroic Eastern region, constantly strive, work together, and be united, maximizing opportunities, potential, internal strength, and innovative reforms to open up new development prospects in the future.

On the journey to the future, the achievements in the past period are the driving force for Dong Nai to set new goals - building a transparent, strong, and comprehensive Party Organization and political system; promoting the strength of great national unity, promoting a pioneering, creative spirit, and aspiration for development. Its goals also include the development of digital economy, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, and knowledge economy. The average GRDP growth rate reaches 10% per year or more. In each development stage, the tradition of solidarity is promoted and spread, creating a source of strength for Dong Nai to conquer new goals on the path of integration and development.

In practice, building the Party from the people's hearts and minds is both a principle and an inevitable law for our Party to maintain trust, continue to lead the cause of innovation, and bring the country to rapid and sustainable development.

With the achievements made today, the the Party organization and people of Dong Nai will forever be proud of their heroic past, which serves as a driving force for the province to continue promoting the strength of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, being dynamic and creative in carrying out tasks, and conquering new goals on the path of integration and development, bringing legitimate benefits to the people.
