On September 25, the official session of the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Bu Gia Map commune for the 2025-2030 term took place, with the participation of 75 delegates representing people from all social strata in the commune. Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial VFF Committee Nguyen Tan Phu attended and directed the Congress.
Bu Gia Map is a border commune facing extreme difficulties, with ethnic minorities accounting for more than 75% of the total population. During the past term, the commune’s VFF coordinated with member organizations to effectively implement patriotic emulation movements. Local people contributed over VND 1.92 billion and thousands of square meters of land, joining forces with the State to invest in infrastructure facilities and rural road projects. The commune’s VFF also mobilized organizations and businesses, along with provincial support, to build 108 houses under the program “Eradicating makeshift and dilapidated houses.” Each year, the commune’s VFF raised and delivered gifts worth more than VND 1 billion to policy beneficiary families and poor households on national holidays and Tet.
At the Congress, delegates discussed, contributed opinions, and agreed on 11 specific targets in the action program for the 2025-2030 term. A key focus is to promote responsibility, coordination, and effective implementation of movements through innovative models and initiatives under the motto “each organization with one movement, one task for building new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas,” aiming to foster socio-economic development and achieve the goal of making Bu Gia Map commune meet new-style rural standards.
The Congress elected 55 members to Bu Gia Map commune VFF Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Dang Thi Huong was re-elected Chairwoman of the commune’s VFF Committee. The Congress also elected one official delegate and one alternate delegate to attend the first VFF Congress of Dong Nai province for the 2025-2030 term. |
Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee Nguyen Tan Phu expressed agreement with the orientations, tasks, and action program proposed by the commune’s VFF Committee. He stressed that the Front must serve as a platform to gather, connect, and support so that people’s creative ideas can be realized, making practical contributions to local development. Therefore, social welfare must be identified as a core political task, while each Front official should not only be professionally competent but, more importantly, possess prestige and strong skills in mass mobilization. He emphasized that they must always deeply embrace the motto “respect the people, stay close to the people, understand the people, learn from the people, and be responsible to the people” in order to successfully implement the congress theme: “Solidarity – Democracy – Responsibility – Wisdom – Effectiveness.”
