Preparatory session of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress

On the morning of September 29, the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure opened its preparatory session at the Dong Nai Provincial Convention Center in Nguyen Ai Quoc street, Tan Trieu ward.

Attending the Congress from central agencies were comrades: Doan Quang Tho, Deputy Director of the Local Affairs Department III, Central Organization Commission; Nguyen Manh Hai, Deputy Director of the Regional Affairs Department VII, Central Inspection Commission; and Nguyen Cong Dan, Deputy Director of the Local Affairs Department III, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

Provincial leaders attending the Congress included comrades: Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Council; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee; Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission. The Congress gathered 450 official delegates representing more than 131,000 Party members across the entire Provincial Party Organization.

Delivering a guiding speech on the contents and requirements of the Congress, comrade Vu Hong Van emphasized: Implementing Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo and the Central documents directing and guiding Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, today, the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure convened its preparatory session to complete the necessary preparations, ensuring the official Congress will open solemnly, seriously, and in line with regulations on September 30.

In recent times, besides focusing on leading and directing the organizational restructuring and fulfilling the targets and tasks of 2025 and the entire 2020-2025 tenure, the Provincial Party Executive Board has directed the successful organization of congresses at 99 subordinate Party Committees, ensuring proper procedures, contents, and quality. Dong Nai was one of the localities to complete grassroots congresses earlier than required by the Central Committee.

The success of grassroots congresses throughout the Provincial Party Organization provided an important foundation for preparing and organizing the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure. Alongside directing Party congresses at all levels, the Provincial Party Executive Board has thoroughly and seriously prepared the contents of the 1st Provincial Party Congress in accordance with the Central Committee’s guidance. To date, the preparation of documents and personnel for the 1st Provincial Party Committee Executive Board for the 2025-2030 tenure has been completed.

With the approval of the Politburo, the Provincial Party Executive Board decided to convene the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure. The Congress is held over two days, from September 29 to 30, 2025. Today, the Congress held its preparatory session to address several important matters before the official opening.

The 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 tenure convened 450 official delegates, including 65 members of the Provincial Party Executive Board as ex-officio delegates and 385 delegates elected from the congresses of subordinate Party Organizations.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Executive Board, comrade Vu Hong Van warmly welcomed the 450 official delegates, representing more than 131,000 Party members of the entire Provincial Party Organization, the outstanding nuclei of solidarity, intelligence, steadfastness, and aspirations for the development of the new Dong Nai in the 2025-2030 period.

The preparatory session of the Congress discussed and elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and Credentials Verification Committee; voted to adopt the working regulations of the Congress, its working agenda, and internal rules; and divided delegates into groups for discussion.

For the preparatory session to achieve its intended purpose and requirements, the Provincial Party Executive Board requested that all delegates strictly follow the Congress’s internal regulations, uphold democracy, demonstrate responsibility, and concentrate their wisdom on discussing and voting on important agenda items of the program.
