Party Committee of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee works with Party Committee of Customs Sub-Department Region XVIII

On September 19, Working Group No. 1 of the Party Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, led by Provincial Party Committee member and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Thuy Luan, held a working session with the Party Committee of Customs Sub-Department Region XVIII to review the Party building work of the unit since its establishment.

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Head of Customs Sub-Department Region XVIII Le Thanh Van reported several outstanding results in Party building work after the merger of the two Party Committees of the former Dong Nai and former Binh Phuoc Customs Departments.

The Party Committee of Customs Sub-Department Region XVIII was established on July 15, 2025. It consists of 15 subordinate Party cells with 300 Party members, including 11 cells of Dong Nai and 4 of the former Binh Phuoc province. Following its establishment, the Party Committee issued working regulations for the Party Committee and its Inspection Commission; the work program for the 2025–2030 term and for 2025; and assigned tasks to Party Committee members.

At the same time, the Party Executive Committee developed an action program to implement the Resolution of the 9th Party Congress of the Customs Sub-Department Region XVIII for the 2025–2030 term, setting out objectives, targets, tasks, and solutions to fulfill the congress resolution.

The Party Committee has paid attention to effectively implementing political and ideological work; promptly disseminating new directives, resolutions, and regulations of the Party to officials, Party members, civil servants, and employees. It has also focused on consolidating subordinate Party organizations and fostering new sources for Party membership development.

Alongside these favorable conditions, the unit has faced difficulties: Customs Sub-Department Region XVIII is tasked with performing state management of customs following the merger of the two former provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc. With a vast area of jurisdiction and subordinate units scattered far apart, gathering Party members for Party Committee activities has inevitably been challenging.

Concluding the working session, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People’s Committee Pham Thuy Luan acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in implementing Party building work by the Party Committee of Customs Sub-Department Region XVIII. He also requested that the Party Committee continue to build on its strengths; lead subordinate Party cells in effectively grasping the ideological situation of officials and Party members; well carry out communication work before, during, and after the first Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term; and complete the 2025 inspection and supervision work plan as scheduled.
