According to the Vietnam National Exposition Center (VEC), in just three opening days, the National Achievements Exhibition themed “80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness” in Dong Anh district, Ha Noi city welcomed 1.18 million visitors. This set a record for the number of visitors at an exhibition, even though it has only been open for a few days.

On the opening day (August 28), the exhibition attracted more than 230,000 visitors. On the second day (August 29), nearly 300,000 visitors attended, and by the third day (August 30), the number had more than doubled to 650,000. The total number of visitors in the first three days reached 1.18 million, a record figure for an exhibition.
On the fourth day (August 31), the exhibition witnessed a “sea of people,” though no official statistics have been released yet. The road from downtown Hanoi to the National Exposition Center was heavily congested. However, thanks to the massive capacity of the venue — the largest in Southeast Asia and the 10th largest in the world — and professional services, sightseeing activities proceeded smoothly.

The National Achievements Exhibition, themed “80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness”, is the first exhibition held at the National Exposition Center since its inauguration on August 19.
This is the largest exhibition ever organized, featuring displays from 28 ministries and central agencies, 34 provinces and cities, and more than 110 major corporations and economic groups. The exhibition hosts 230 booths on a total area of 260,000 square meters, including both indoor and outdoor spaces.
The exhibition is divided into thematic display areas, ranging from general achievements, green economy, clean energy, aerospace industry, defense and security industry, to cultural industry.
A highlight of the exhibition is the “95 Years of the Party Flag Lighting the Way” space, organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper. Covering 10,000 square meters, it recreates the journey of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Inspired by the Co Loa Citadel, the area is designed in a spiral form, integrating artifacts, live performances, and advanced technologies such as holograms, AR, and 360-degree screens to provide an immersive and emotional experience.

On August 28, September 2, and September 5, high-altitude fireworks displays will take place in the evening, along with musical and artistic performances.
During the exhibition, many international delegations visited it while attending events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), including a high-ranking delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
