On the morning of September 15, the Army Officer Training College 2– Nguyen Hue University held the opening ceremony for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission’s Standing Board, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Dong Nai Party Committee’s Organization Commission; representatives of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense; the Party Committee and Board of Rectors of the Army Officer Training College 2; and delegates from localities.

Delivering his report at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Luong Dinh Lanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of the college, said that over 64 years of building, combat and maturity, under the leadership of the Party, directly the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, with the support of Party committees, authorities, local people, and allied units, the college has overcome difficulties, maintained solidarity, and excellently fulfilled every mission assigned by the Party and the Army.

Lieutenant General Luong Dinh Lanh noted that in the 2025–2026 academic year, the college will focus on effectively implementing resolutions, directives, conclusions, and projects from higher levels on education and training, especially the Politburo’s resolution on breakthroughs in education and training development. It will effectively carry out the “three focuses, three resolute measures” in line with the directions of Party General Secretary To Lam at the 14th meeting of the Central Military Commission for the 2020–2025 term. The college will concentrate on innovating and improving the quality of education and training, closely linked with the motto “The school’s training quality is the combat readiness of the unit,” as well as the Resolution of the college’s 16th Party Congress.

Delivering instructions at the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission’s Standing Board, Deputy Minister of National Defense, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the school over 64 years of building, combat and maturity, especially during the 2024–2025 academic year.
The Deputy Minister of National Defense requested the Party Committee, Board of Rectors of the Army Officer Training College 2, Party committees and commanding officers at all levels to regularly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on education and training. He emphasized the need to continue innovating programs, content, and teaching methods; manage the school in a scientific and modern direction associated with the motto “The school’s training quality is the combat readiness of the unit”; and effectively implement education and training projects. The goal is to continuously improve officer training quality to meet the requirements of building the Army in the new era.

Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong also reminded the Army Officer Training College 2 to continue thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the resolutions of higher levels, and to quickly and resolutely push breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation.
Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong urged the cadets to clearly recognize the honor, pride, and great responsibility of studying, researching, and training at the heroic Army Officer Training College 2– Nguyen Hue University and to be fully aware of the increasing requirements in thinking, bravery, qualities, and competencies of officers in building a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern people’s army.
