Golden opportunity, golden moment

“Golden opportunity,” “golden moment,” and “critical moment” are among the keywords frequently mentioned in the lead-up to the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress (2025-2030 term), rallying nearly 4.5 million residents of the province in unity and shared determination, placing their full trust and high expectations in this major political event.

The term “golden moment” in today’s new context is underscored by the assertion that “our country has never had such fortune, potential, position and international prestige as it does today.” In this shared home of Vietnam, Dong Nai stands at the forefront, ready to seize this “golden opportunity” to break through and take flight into the new era of national rise. 

This once-in-a-century opportunity for the homeland is also an chance for the Provincial Party organization to continuously reaffirm its decisiveness, leadership capabilities, combat strength, and commitment to serving the great aspirations. The “skilled helmsman” of Dong Nai is entrusted with steering the province into a new era toward green, prosperous, civilized and modern development,with the goal of meeting the fundamental criteria for becoming a centrally-run city by 2030. Dong Nai is set to promote its core role as a driving force to spread development in the Southern Key Economic Region and a solid bridge linking the Central Highlands and South Central Coast.

This ambition will undoubtedly be successfully realized by the Party Organization and the people, built upon the foundation of the post-merger development space, and the combined strengths of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc, the new Dong Nai now possesses superior advantages in terms of area, population, and strategic positioning. Notably, the central government has allocated a substantial accumulated budget for public investment in the province, enabling Dong Nai to own key national infrastructure projects, including multiple expressways, seaport clusters, and Long Thanh International Airport. Additionally, its 258.939km-long border with Cambodia includes the Hoa Lu Border Gate Economic Zone, all considered “golden links” that enable the province to become a new economic development hub of southern Vietnam.

The Provincial Party Executive Committee has identified infrastructure development as the top priority in the upcoming term, a mission that must be fulfilled in order to unlock the full potential of the land, contribute to realizing the goal of double-digit economic growth, increasing state revenue, and raising per capita income.

Now is the “golden moment” for Dong Nai to be granted stronger autonomy, paving the way to becoming a livable, investable, and work-friendly destination. This is also a “golden opportunity” for the province to resolutely screen and elevate capable officials - those who dare to think, dare to act, take responsibility, and possess the knowledge to solve complex real-world challenges.

To seize this development window and avoid wasting local resources, the Provincial Party Executive Committee is executing the directives of the Party Committee with scientific, well-rounded methods, leading the province through a comprehensive redevelopment of its growth space and renewal of its core growth drivers. Each day, work flows at full speed. Members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee are directly overseeing and expediting public investment disbursement and land clearanceefforts. Communes such as Long Thanh, Dai Phuoc, Xuan Loc, and Nha Bich are boldly proposing new policies to attract investment to their local areas.

Unwavering confidence and growing momentum are opening the door to new horizons, where a rising star named Dong Nai is shining brilliantly.
