On the afternoon of September 12, at the Provincial Industrial and Economic Zone Management Board, a delegation from AlounMai journal – the political and theoretical organ of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) – led by Comrade Vanlaty Khamvanvongsa, Member of the Party Committee of the Central Propaganda Department of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and Editor-in-Chief of AlounMai journal, paid a working visit to Dong Nai Province.
The delegation also included Comrade Bounthieng Phannachanh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of AlounMai journal, Deputy Head of the Delegation, along with leaders of the journal’s departments.
Also attending the meeting was a delegation from the Communist Review, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Party Agencies in Dong Nai province Thai Bao chaired the reception and working session with the delegations from the AlounMai journal and the Communist Review.
Also attending the meeting were Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders of several provincial agencies and units.

The working agenda of the delegations from AlounMai journal and Communist Review in Dong Nai province included sharing experiences in managing industrial parks and economic zones in the province; informing Dong Nai’s socio-economic development; and the investment, production, and business activities of enterprises operating in the province’s industrial parks, economic zones, and high-tech zones.
At the meeting, leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Finance, and the Management Board of Dong Nai’s industrial parks and economic zones presented an overview of the province.

Accordingly, Dong Nai currently ranks fourth nationwide in economic scale (after Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, and Hai Phong); its per capita income reaches 138 million VND (equivalent to 5,307 USD), ranking fifth nationwide.
As of the end of August 2025, 51 countries and territories had investment projects in Dong Nai, with 2,222 valid FDI projects totaling 42.11 billion USD.
Although Laos does not yet have investors in Dong Nai, several enterprises from the province are investing and doing business in Laos. These include: Tin Nghia Corporation with 2 projects – Paksong Farm 1 and Paksong Farm 2 in Paksong district, Champasak province; Long Thanh Golf Investment and Business Joint Stock Company with projects in golf course and 5-star hotel development, villa construction in Vientiane, and mineral exploration and processing; Viet Thanh Industrial Goods Co., Ltd. with a project to distribute Vietnamese products in Vientiane; and Dong Nai Rubber Corporation with a rubber plantation and development project in Oudomxay province.
At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission and the Party Committee Secretary of the provincial Party Agencies Thai Bao also shared information on the establishment of the new Dong Nai province through the merger of the former Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces; the operation of the two-tier local government model; and Dong Nai’s development orientation in the coming period.

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Thai Bao noted that Dong Nai province has established a twinning relationship with Champasak province of Laos, and the 2 provinces have maintained strong ties in recent years. Dong Nai is currently training many students from Champasak and has several enterprises investing effectively in the province. He expressed his hope that in the coming time, the relationship between Dong Nai and Champasak will grow even deeper, further enriching the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos to be “forever green and everlasting.”

Comrade Vanlaty Khamvanvongsa expressed sincere thanks for the warm reception and exchanges from Dong Nai province, as well as for the remarks delivered by Deputy Secretary Thai Bao at the meeting.
The Editor-in-Chief of AlounMai journal noted that the delegation was delighted to visit Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Through the exchanges with Dong Nai, the delegation was deeply impressed by the province’s achievements in recent years, especially in economic development and foreign investment, with many global enterprises now operating in Dong Nai.
Comrade Vanlaty Khamvanvongsa also shared updates on Laos’ socio-economic development and informed that Laos is currently restructuring its political system. He emphasized that this working visit to Dong Nai contributes to strengthening the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam while also promoting Dong Nai’s positive image to the Lao people.
