Building Tan An Commune VFF officials into a lean-effective-efficient' staff

On the morning of September 26, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Tan An commune organized its 1st VFF Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending the congress were Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee of the province, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Minh Kien, along with 150 official delegates.

Tan An commune was established on the basis of merging Tan An commune and Vinh Tan commune. In the past term, under the leadership of the Party Committee and authorities, the Tan An Commune Fatherland Front promoted its core role in the great national unity bloc. People from all social strata united, bonded, and joined forces to build an increasingly developed homeland.

Also, in the past term, the Communal Fatherland Front organized more than 370 propaganda and mobilization sessions with over 10,000 participants; widely launched major campaigns such as: "All people unite to build new-style rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "For the Poor" Fund... which created a widespread resonance and consolidated people's trust in the Party, State, and the Front.

The Tan An Commune Fatherland Front also actively performed its functions of supervision, social criticism, and participation in Party and government building. During the term, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee organized 6 critical feedback conferences and 3 supervision sessions, from which many opinions and recommendations of the people were received by the Party Committee and authorities, creating consensus throughout the locality.

Speaking at the congress, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Minh Kien commented: Patriotic emulation movements, humanitarian, charitable, and social security activities have been effectively implemented, thereby not only caring for the material and spiritual life of the people, but also contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety.

Fatherland Front cadres must have a firm political stance, pure moral qualities, be knowledgeable about technology, skilled in mobilization, dialogue, and accompanying the people. In particular, it is necessary to promote the core role of the Fatherland Front Working Committee in residential areas as an "extended arm" of the commune VFF Committee, a "strong bond" connecting the Front with the people, and a place to initiate and spread creative movements and models from the grassroots. This is the foundation for Tan An to build a strong Front system, worthy of being a center of unity, accompanying the people in all development journeys.

The congress set out an action program with 3 focuses: Promoting propaganda and mobilization, developing the great national unity bloc; Improving the quality of supervision, social criticism, promoting democracy, and participating in Party and government building; Encouraging people to emulate in terms of creativity and participate in campaigns and patriotic movements.

The congress elected 51 members of the VFF Committee of Tan An commune for the 2025-2030 term (with 4 positions to be filled during the term). Dam Quoc Dac continued to be re-elected as Chairman of the commune VFF Committee for the 2025-2030 term. The congress also elected Dam Quoc Dac as an official delegate; Tran Xuan Hong as an alternate delegate to attend the 1st VFF Congress of Dong Nai province for the 2025-2030 term.
