At the conference, the Labor Federation of Dong Nai province announced the decisions to establish 24 ward and commune Trade Unions, along with the appointment of the Executive Committees and Standing Committees of these 24 unions across the province. The establishment of the Trade Unions at ward and commune level is an important step in consolidating and restructuring the union apparatus toward a streamlined and efficient model, meeting the requirements and tasks of the new period.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Labor Federation of Dong Nai province, Nguyen Quoc Dung said: After the merger, the Dong Nai provincial Labor Federation manages more than 2,300 grassroots unions with over 750,000 members.

The Chairman suggested: the newly established ward and commune Trade Unions immediately need to implement six key tasks. These are quickly building operational regulations and assigning tasks in a detailed, synchronous manner to avoid overlaps; coordinating with local authorities to ensure good care for members and workers; working with enterprises to establish collective labor agreements to promote harmonious and stable labor relations. At the same time, they must step up the propaganda of Party and State guidelines, policies, and laws; urge grassroots unions properly and fully collect union fees. Specially, they must prepare the necessary conditions to organize grassroots Trade Union congresses, moving toward the Provincial Trade Union Congress and the Vietnam Trade Union Congress for the 2026-2031 term.
