In the spirited atmosphere when the entire nation looks forward to the commemorative ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 – 2025), thousands of officers and soldiers from across the country have gathered in the capital city of Ha Noi for solemn and majestic military and civilian parades. Notably, among the formations were sons and daughters of Dong Nai province, carrying with them the pride of their homeland, their families, and the land that nurtured their ideals and aspirations to serve the nation.
In this grand atmosphere, the participation of Dong Nai’s soldiers and young citizens on Ba Dinh Square, Ha Noi, is not only symbolic but also a vivid testament to the vitality of a land that once bore the footsteps of generations of revolutionaries, now carried forward by enthusiastic youth in peacetime.

Twice honoured, one pride
Born and raised in Dong Tam commune, Dong Nai province, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Son, now serving at the Command of the Dong Nai Border Guard, was among the outstanding officers chosen for the Border Guard Officers’ contingent at the A80 parade.
Previously, he had the honour of taking part in the parade of Mission A50, leaving deep impressions on his comrades and people from his hometown. This time at Mission A80, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Quang Son once again joined the parade formation, a special honour and also a reminder of the sacred duty carried by every soldier.

During months of preparation for A80, Captain Son and his comrades endured scorching sun and sudden rain, while rigorously training their willpower, discipline, and solidarity. Every step, every hand movement, every solemn gaze was trained with absolute precision. For him, the belief in the national flag and the sacred values of the military uniform became a driving force, helping him march with determination, carrying the pride of his homeland, Dong Nai, and belief in the nation’s strength on the historic Ba Dinh Square.
“This is a momentous event for our entire nation. Each individual must clearly define their role, foster the highest determination, and overcome all difficulties to successfully fulfil their duties, thereby contributing to the glorious success of this historic celebration,” Senior Lieutenant Son affirmed.
While Senior Lieutenant Son grows mature from the military environment, Vu Thi Phuong Uyen – a former student majoring in Mathematics and Biology at Quang Trung High School for the Gifted, Dong Xoai ward – represents the vibrant spirit and dedication of Dong Nai's youth. Currently a second-year student at the People's Police University in Ho Chi Minh City, Phuong Uyen has already made her mark at major national events. Remarkably, Mission A80 is not her first parade experience. She had previously taken part in the parade marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

Phuong Uyen recalled the challenges of her training days, when every movement, from hand gestures and posture to facial expressions and gaze, had to reach absolute synchronization. In the women’s Traffic Police contingent, each participant was required to embody pride and discipline.
“Wearing the Traffic Police uniform and marching in Ha Noi, I truly felt myself becoming part of the nation’s historical flow. This pride is not only mine but also that of my family and my homeland Dong Nai, serving as living proof of effort, responsibility, and patriotism,” Uyen said.
For her, A80 symbolises the continuation of her journey of passion, duty, and patriotism. Twice she has marched in solemn parades, twice she has worn the honourable uniform, yet the pride remains as intact and profound as ever. This is a reminder for everyone to strive ceaselessly to be worthy of the homeland and the nation.
Marching in step with the tide of history
Among Dong Nai’s participants in the A80 contingents is Lieutenant Le Van Tai, from Phu Rieng commune, who now serves as Platoon Commander of Company 2, Battalion S300, Regiment 93, Division 367 of the Air Defence – Air Force Service.
He underwent rigorous training to take his place in the Air Defence – Air Force Officers’ contingent. “Taking part in A80 is both a great honour and a profound responsibility to myself and my homeland Dong Nai. The demanding training required absolute precision, as every gaze and every gesture reflects the spirit of discipline, solidarity, and patriotism. Standing in the parade and seeing comrades from across the country, I felt myself part of the nation’s historic flow and its will to rise,” Lieutenant Tai said.

Dong Nai also takes pride in sending to the Mission A80 its strong-willed young women filled with aspiration to contribute to the parade formation. Truong Thuy Ngoc Chau was born in Tan Hung commune and is now a student at the People's Police University in Ho Chi Minh City. She fulfilled her dream of wearing the police uniform after three determined attempts.
Marching in the Special Task Force Women's contingent at A80, she said: "I felt as though I was walking in step with history, carrying the pride and love of my parents and my homeland Dong Nai. As a girl from the South, marching in the capital Ha Noi made me feel more connected than ever with the Fatherland and the nation's heroic history. Each step today is not only the fruit of my own efforts but also a testament to the determination, faith, and dedication of Vietnamese youth.”

Among the female special police officers participating in the A80 parade, Dong Nai Province also takes pride in the presence of Phan Hoang Tu Anh, a former gifted student in Mathematics at Binh Long High School for the Gifted and currently a second-year student at the People’s Security University in Ho Chi Minh City.
For Tu Anh, being chosen to join A80 is a profound honour, filled with both excitement and a strong sense of responsibility. “As a child of Dong Nai, I feel deeply proud to be part of this major national event. Each step today is not only my personal journey but also a link connecting youth with history and with the patriotic traditions of our homeland,” she said.

As the historic autumn days unfold and national joy spreads, the footsteps of Dong Nai’s sons and daughters echo with pride, harmonising with the collective pride of the whole nation. They not only march in the A80 parade formation in the capital city of Hanoi, but also intertwine the story of their homeland into the nation’s grand symphony, resounding with Vietnam’s pride, determination, and strength.
