Phuoc Son commune aims to meet advanced new-style rural criteria by 2030

 On the afternoon of August 8, the Party Committee of Phuoc Son commune held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, attended and directed the congress. Also present were representatives of provincial departments, agencies, localities, and 199 official delegates representing 738 Party members from 43 affiliated Party cells and committees of the commune.

Phuoc Son commune was established following the merger of three communes in their original states, namely Phuoc Son, Thong Nhat, and Dang Ha. Following the merger, the new Phuoc Son commune covers an area of over 38,600 hectares and has a population exceeding 30,000 people, with ethnic minorities accounting for more than 63.5%.

During the 2020-2025 term, despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee, government, and people of the merged communes have made strong efforts and achieved important, comprehensive results across all fields including socio-economy, national defense-security, building a clean, strong Party and political system.

The average income reached over VND 54 million per person per year. At the beginning of the term, the commune had 375 poor households, which has now reduced to only 38.

Particular attention was paid to building and consolidating grassroots Party organizations. From 2020 to 2025, the Party Committees of the communes admitted 127 new Party members, reaching 102.8% of the targets set by higher authorities.

In his directive speech at the congress, Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee, requested that the Party Committee of Phuoc Son focus on building a truly clean and strong Party and political system; enhance leadership capacity, combativeness of Party organizations, and improve the quality of the cadre and Party member team.

Simultaneously, the locality should concentrate on resolving and zoning mineral exploitation planning; focus on developing the private economy; prioritize agriculture, especially high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture, and circular agriculture.

Regarding the leadership apparatus, officials, civil servants and public employees, Ha Anh Dung emphasized that the Party Committee must continue to arrange and consolidate the local government apparatus towards streamlining and improving operational efficiency; gradually build a team of cadres, civil servants and public employees with political resilience, ethical qualities, and a mindset that dares to think, act, innovate, and take responsibility, meeting the increasing demands and tasks of the new period.

Given the set orientations, resolutions, and breakthrough programs, Ha Anh Dung expressed his confidence that the Party Committee, government, people, and military of Phuoc Son commune will continue to promote solidarity spirit, enhance political determination, and act more decisively and effectively; soon put the resolutions into practice, aiming to build a comprehensively developed commune that brings prosperity and happiness to the people, contributing alongside Dong Nai province and the country to enter an era of rapid, strong, and sustainable development.
