Phu Nghia determined to promote its potential to rise in the new era

(ĐN) - On the afternoon of August 15, the Party Committee of Phu Nghia commune held the first Party congress, term 2025-2030. Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council Tran Van Mi attended and directed the congress.

Also attending were representatives of the Party building committees, former local leaders, and 150 delegates representing over 500 members of the entire Phu Nghia commune Party Committee.

Phu Nghia ward was established by merging three communes including Phu Nghia, Phu Van and Duc Hanh. During the 2020-2025 term, despite many difficulties, the Party Committee and people of Phu Nghia commune have united and achieved significant results: Rural transport infrastructure strongly improved with over 151 km of new roads built.

Agriculture economic remained the key economic pillar with more than 22,000 hectares of perennial plants, the formation of commodity production zones, the development of high-tech agricultural cooperatives, and clean production. Social welfare received attention, poverty rates decreased sharply. The commune completed the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Education was cared for.  National defense and security were maintained.

Entering the new term, the Party Committee and people of Phu Nghia commune adopted the motto: “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Innovation – Development”, with the firm goal of building a streamlined, strong, efficient, and effective political system; developing a contingent of cadres and Party members with moral qualities, competence, and prestige, closely connected with the people.

The congress set targets such as an average annual growth of state budget revenue reaching 10%; an increase of over 19% in per capita income by 2030; planning at least 300 hectares of land as clean agricultural production and concentrated livestock farming area, applying high technology; focusing on key projects; consolidating defense and security; and improving both material and spiritual living standards, thereby building a sustainable commune.

In addition to comprehensive development goal, the Party Committee emphasized two breakthrough fields, including developing agro-forestry production toward high-value, sustainable commodity production, with a focus on sustainable agricultural development to ensure quality, food safety, linked to market demand; and mobilizing all resources to invest in rural transportation infrastructure during 2025-2030 period. These important breakthroughs both reflect practical conditions and demonstrate vision and determination to build Phu Nghia into a strong and modern commune.

Delivering his directive speech at the congress, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council Tran Van Mi acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity and aspiration for innovation of the commune’s Party Committee and people. He suggested that Phu Nghia continue to build on its achievements, focus on economic development linked to local potential, improve the quality of cadres and Party members, and promote the application of high technology in management and production.

At the same time, it is necessary to review and complete planning; effectively tap commercial and service advantages; strengthen facilities and human resources to ensure smooth operation of local government; and prioritize key projects to lay a solid foundation for new development.

With a spirit of renewal, solidarity, proactive adaptation, and promotion of strong internal strength, Phu Nghia is entering a new era of integration and sustainable development, determined to successfully implement the tasks and goals set forth by the commune’s Party Committee.
