Nhon Trach possesses the advantage to become a satellite urban area of Long Thanh Airport

On the morning of August 14, the 1st Congress of the Nhon Trach commune Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term took place, with the participation of 200 delegates representing more than 2,200 Party members across the commune’s Party Committee. Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, attended and directed the congress.

Nhon Trach commune was established through the merger of the former communes of Phu Thanh, Long Tan, Phu Hoi, Phuoc Thien, and the former townlet of Hiep Phuoc.

During the past term, the economic structure of Nhon Trach commune shifted in the right direction, with an increased proportion of the industrial and trade–service sectors. Specifically, industry accounts for 92%, trade and services 6%, and agriculture 2% of the commune’s economic structure. The commune’s estimated per capita income in 2024 reaches 87 million VND, approximately 1.4 times higher than in 2020, while the total annual budget revenue exceeds 170 billion VND, surpassing the assigned target.

Currently, Nhon Trach commune has five industrial zones and one handicraft cluster, providing jobs for nearly 11,000 workers.

During the past term, many important projects in Nhon Trach Commune were invested in, built, and put into operation, creating a new look for the area and driving economic growth. These include the extended Route 319 connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway, the Phu Hoi Resettlement Area, and the Swanbay Residential Area. Transportation infrastructure continued to receive investment for breakthrough development, serving residents in the locality, with 53 rural roads upgraded at a total cost of over 29 billion VND.

In the new term, the Nhon Trach Commune Party Committee is determined to strengthen Party building and rectification, and to streamline the political system for greater efficiency and effectiveness. It aims to foster unity, mobilize resources, and capitalize on its advantages to elevate Nhon Trach to new heights, developing it into an industrial urban area and a satellite city of Long Thanh Airport.

In his guidance speech at the congress, Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, assessed that Nhon Trach commune’s economic structure has continued to shift in the right direction. Industrial production, trade–services, and agriculture have developed strongly, maintaining high growth rates. Socio-economic infrastructure has been a key focus, with rural transportation networks receiving attention and investment to serve residents effectively. At the same time, budget management and administration have been carried out rigorously and efficiently.

Activities in science and technology, digital transformation, education and training, and the protection and care of public health have been given due attention and effectively carried out. Political security, along with social order and safety, has been maintained, contributing to a stable environment for development.

In the context of new development, Vo Tan Duc urged Nhon Trach commune to promptly consolidate the political system, ensuring that the cadre team is sufficient in both quantity and quality to meet the requirements of new tasks and avoid work backlogs. At the same time, he emphasized focusing on socio-economic development and improving people’s living standards, including continuing to innovate the growth model with trade–services at the center of development, and promoting digital transformation and the application of science and technology in production.
