On August 12, a working delegation from the Ministry of National Defense led by Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People's Army, inspected combat readiness for the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day (September 2) at Division 309 (Military Region 7), stationed in Dong Nai.
Also joining the delegation were Major General Tran Chi Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7; Major General Le Ngoc Hai, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7, and other delegates.

Reporting to the working delegation, Colonel Phung The Hung, Commander of Division 309, stated: In recent times, the Party Committee and Command of Division 309 have thoroughly grasped and strictly implemented directives, resolutions, plans, and guidelines from superiors regarding training and combat readiness tasks. Party’s work, political work, and other aspects of work have been carried out regularly, with quality and efficiency.
The Division has seriously deployed and implemented combat readiness work to protect activities on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. After conducting on-site inspections at various locations and listening to the unit's report, Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung requested that the unit's officers and soldiers to clearly define their political responsibilities, continue to promote strengths, and quickly overcome existing shortcomings in performing tasks pointed out by the inspection team members.
