On the afternoon of August 25, the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province held a gathering with comrades who were former members of the Dong Nai Provincial Standing Party Committee, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, and generals of the police and army in the province, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.

The meeting was co-chaired by comrades including Vu Hong Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dong Nai Province; Ton Ngoc Hanh, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province; Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission, and Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province.

Preliminary results showed that the new apparatus has proven effective, administrative procedures are handled promptly, and people and enterprises are better served. This is a breakthrough step, reflecting the determination of the Party Committee and people of Dong Nai in building a streamlined, effective, and efficient administration in the service of the people.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Many opinions exchanged by former provincial leaders truly served as a handbook for Party committees and authorities at all levels to continuously unite and lead in fulfilling their tasks, building a prosperous and civilized Dong Nai.
As of August 15, 2025, 100% of the provincial Party-affiliated Committees successfully organized their congresses for the 2025-2030 term, ahead of schedule, ensuring the content and programs prescribed by the Party Central Committee. During the congresses, delegates contributed many profound, dedicated, and intellectual opinions to the draft political report for the 14th National Party Congress and the draft documents for the 2025-2030 Party Congress of Dong Nai province. The Provincial Party Congress is expected to be held in early October 2025.
Speaking at the meeting, former Party Central Committee Member, former Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Tran Thi Minh Hoang, expressed joy that Dong Nai province was increasingly achieving practical results. She expressed hope and belief that today’s generation will unite, stay attached to one another, join efforts and be unanimous to make Dong Nai province increasingly prosperous.
Major General Phan Tien Hac, former Deputy Director of the Personnel Department, General Political Department of the Vietnam People’s Army, stated: The meeting was another opportunity to recall the historical tradition and a chance for everyone to express affection and deep gratitude to predecessors, Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the Fatherland.
“In response to such immense affection and sacrifice, we vow to unite as one, join hands to successfully fulfill our duties in every position entrusted to us. I completely agree with the opinion of Comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoang: we must place the interests of the people above all else, first of all, is to contribute to building and defending the Fatherland today and in the future,” Major General Phan Tien Hac emphasized.

“In response to the great affection and sacrifice, we vow to unite and join hands to strive to fulfill each person's duties in each assigned position. I strongly agree with comrade Tran Thi Minh Hoang's opinion, we must put the interests of the people first and foremost to contribute to building and protecting the Fatherland now and in the future” - Major General Phan Tien Hac emphasized.
Major General Nguyen Van Khanh, former Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and former Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Police, shared: “In the new situation, with intertwined opportunities and challenges, the police force is required to change strongly and decisively, not only in terms of mindset but also in organizational and operational methods; proactively grasp the situation early and from afar, as well as potential risks, so as not to be passive or surprised. Proud of the heroic, united tradition of the nation and the tradition: “People’s Public Security forget themselves for the country, serving the people,’ every public security officer and soldier today must strive harder, excellently fulfilling their assigned tasks.”
Speaking at the meeting, Ton Ngoc Hanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee expressed deep gratitude to former provincial leaders and army and police generals who had dedicated and sacrificed for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In the sacred moments of celebrating 80 years of Independence, provincial leaders expressed their profound gratitude and remembrance for the heroic martyrs; the outstanding former leaders of the Party and the nation; comrades and compatriots who heroically sacrificed and devoted their entire lives to the struggle for national independence, freedom, and reunification.
Comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh affirmed: The achievements gained today are the crystallization of the spirit of solidarity and unity within the Party Executive Committee, the Provincial Standing Party Committee, and especially the contributions of generations of provincial leaders, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor, as well as army and police generals who have served or are serving in Dong Nai, who devoted their entire lives to the revolutionary cause, leaving profound imprints in Party building, state administration, and the armed forces in the province.
“You have shown your affection for the next generations of cadres through your guidance in solidarity, unity, and sharing; through mentoring, passing on the flame, and nurturing the following generations of cadres with responsibility, devotion, and deep love for both the former two provinces and the new Dong Nai province. Your companionship, guidance, and sharing are a lodestar and will forever remain a solid support for the future generations of leaders” - comrade Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized.
