On the afternoon of August 15, the Long Hung Ward Party Committee held the first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward Ho Van Nam attended and directed the congress.
Also in attendance were former member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Dao Van Phuoc, representatives of provincial departments and agencies, and 250 delegates representing more than 2,000 party members across the ward.

Delivering the opening remarks, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Long Hung Ward, Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, emphasized that the congress was a particularly important political event, marking a strong transformation of the ward following administrative restructuring and reflected the political determination, confidence, and aspirations for development shared by all officials, Party members, and residents in the new stage.

Long Hung Ward was established through the merger of 3 wards and communes: Long Binh Tan, An Hoa and Long Hung. Covering an area of 32.4 km² with a population of over 74,000 across 13 neighborhoods, the ward enjoys favorable transport connections and lies along the Dong Nai River. It has significant potential for urban development, services, and eco-tourism, especially river-based economic activities. These are important advantages for the locality’s comprehensive growth.
In the past term, the ward’s Party Committee, political system and residents united, made efforts, and achieved many important achievements, laying a solid foundation for continually strong and steady growth in the new period. The socio-economic infrastructure system received considerable investment from multiple funding sources. Annual budget revenue met and exceeded targets.
Cultural and social fields recorded positive progress, social security was ensured, and healthcare services were invested in so that its quality was improved. National defense and security were maintained.
Party building and political system continued to be focused on, contributing to strengthening people's trust in the Party’s leadership and the local government’s management.

For the 2025–2030 term, the Long Hung Ward Party Committee will focus on effectively implementing three breakthrough areas to achieve double-digit economic growth and drive Long Hung towards rapid, sustainable development, aiming to soon meet the goals and tasks set out in the congress resolution.

In his directive speech, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward Ho Van Nam commended the ward’s Party Committee for its achievements in the past term, while urging the new term Party Committee to promote its strengths, address shortcomings, and quickly develop an action plan to implement the resolutions.
In addition, the new term Party Committee needs to focus on reviewing and building a truly high-quality socio-economic and infrastructure development plan with a long-term vision, to position Long Hung Ward as a modern, sustainable urban area.

It’s necessary to continuously take care of cultural development, improve the material and spiritual life of the people in conjunction with the good implementation of social policies. Efforts are needed to focus on building a people-friendly government that is close to and serves the people, going hand in hand with promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and administrative reform to enhance public and business services.
