Loc Quang sets 19 targets for socio-economic development

The official working session of the 1st Congress of the Loc Quang Commune Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term took place on the morning of August 14. Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, attended and directed the congress. The event saw the participation of leaders from Party-building committees, provincial departments and sectors, former and current local leaders, along with 150 official delegates representing 477 Party members of the commune’s Party Committee.

Loc Quang commune was established through the merger of the former communes of Loc Quang, Loc Phu, and Loc Hiep, covering a natural area of nearly 105 square kilometers and with a population of over 26,300.

During the past term, the Loc Quang Commune Party Committee achieved many positive results, specifically: Party membership development reached 136% of the target, and 92.7% of Party organizations and members were rated good or higher, exceeding the plan by 12.7%. These were two out of three targets that the Commune Party Committee surpassed in the 2020–2025 term. The Party Committee, government, and people of the commune united to overcome numerous difficulties and challenges, successfully implementing the targets set out in the Party Congress’s resolution. Three breakthrough tasks received focused leadership and achieved important results, while socio-economic infrastructure was developed comprehensively, and the investment and business environment saw positive changes. Cultural building and development were prioritized, the quality of education and training improved, and targets for establishing national standard schools were met. Health care continued to receive investment, social security was ensured, and national defense and security were maintained.

The 1st Congress of the Loc Quang Commune Party Committee identified two breakthrough areas, agreed on 19 key targets and tasks, and developed specific solutions for the 2025–2030 term to promote socio-economic development. Loc Quang aims to recruit at least 3% new Party members, maintain political stability and social security, achieve national new-style rural commune standards by 2030, target an average per capita income of 100 million VND, and ensure 100% of schools meet Level I national standards.

In his directive speech at the congress, Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Loc Quang Commune Party Committee during the past term. He also called on the new-term Party Committee to build on its strengths and accomplishments, address the shortcomings that have been identified, and promptly formulate action plans to implement the congress’s resolutions.
