Loc Hung strives for double-digit growth

(ĐN) - On the afternoon of August 15, the first Congress of the Loc Hung Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, was held with the participation of 150 delegates representing 442 Party members across the commune. Also present were leaders of provincial departments and agencies, Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Mai, and former leaders of the province and former Loc Ninh District.

Delivering opening remarks at the congress, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Loc Hung Commune Party Committee Ly Thanh Tam stated that Loc Hung Commune was established from the merger of the three communes namely Loc Hung, Loc Dien, and Loc Khanh. The commune covers an area of more than 99km², with a population of around 26,600, of which ethnic minorities account for 21%.

During the 2020–2025 term, the Loc Hung Commune Party Committee successfully fulfilled all 24 set targets, with 9 surpassing expectations. In Party and political system building, the commune Party Committee focused on improving the leadership capacity, fighting strength of grassroots Party organizations. It established two Party cells within cooperatives and admitted 79 new members, exceeding the assigned target.

The economic structure has shifted positively, with total production value of the whole commune rising by 84% compared to the beginning of the term. Agriculture has gradually developed towards value-added production, many cooperative models have been formed, many OCOP products have been recognized, and community-based tourism has begun to take shape.

In terms of culture and society, Loc Hung met the new-style rural standards; the whole commune has no poor households; 7 out of 9 schools achieved national standards; ensured healthcare standards, health insurance coverage rate reached 96%. Social security and taking care of policy beneficiaries were prioritized, timely implemented, and effective. National defense and security were maintained, while social order and safety were ensured.

With favorable geographical conditions, including National Highway 13 running through the commune, Loc Hung has advantages in developing trade, services, tourism, and attracting investment. The commune also possesses a large agricultural land fund, favorable for high-tech agriculture, collective economy models, and OCOP product development.

Loc Hung is home to a diverse cultural identity, with more than 10 ethnic groups living together, along with many unique traditional festivals, creating favorable conditions for developing community tourism. Its stable political system, streamlined organizational structure, efficient operation, and concentrated infrastructure investment form a solid foundation for sustainable development in the new term.

Acknowledging the results achieved in the past term, Member of the Dong Nai Provincial Standing Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son urged Loc Hung commune Party Committee to pay attention to and promote the strengths of cadres and civil servants after implementing the two-tier local government model; carry out inter-regional and inter-commune planning and that the plans must have long-term vision to maximize local potential and advantages. It also has to upgrade and expand rural traffic routes, propose projects for community and eco-tourism development as key highlights for the region.

In the new term, the Loc Hung Commune Party Committee strives to build the commune into an advanced new-style rural commune and fulfill 20 key targets across all fields. Notably, the total state budget revenue growth rate in the commune annually reaches 10% or higher; the total annual product value growth rate reaches above 10%; raising per capita income by an average of 10% per year; the rate of schools meeting national standards reaches 100%; striving to prevent the emergence of poor households in the area...

The success of the first Congress of the Loc Hung Commune Party Committee serves as a major source of encouragement, inspiring trust and expectation among locals and creating strong momentum for the entire Party Committee to successfully achieve its goals in the new term, especially the target of double-digit growth.
