On the morning of August 30, at historic Ba Dinh Square, the full-scale rehearsal for the Celebration, Parade, and March marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2) took place.

The rehearsal was attended by Politburo members, including State President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Permanent Member of the Party Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Party Central Committee Secretary and Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia; Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang; and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai.

The rehearsal began at 6:30 AM with the participation of over 45,000 people from the forces of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and representatives of mass marching contingents from all regions of the country. Notably, the national-level rehearsal also saw the full participation of four military delegations from countries invited to join the celebration, parade, and march: Russia, China, Laos, and Cambodia.

After months of training and joint rehearsals at various training grounds, with the spirit of braving the sun, overcoming the rain, and final combined practices at the historic Ba Dinh Square in recent days, the national-level rehearsal held on the morning of August 30 left many impressive and striking images in the hearts of the people and international friends.

Following the national-level rehearsal, the official celebration, parade, and march marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) will take place on the morning of September 2 at the historic Ba Dinh Square, with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, high-level international delegations, and people from all walks of life.
