Focus on finalizing the Project for Comprehensive Development of Teaching and Learning Quality in Border Communes of Dong Nai Province

On the morning of August 27, Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, chaired a meeting with departments, agencies, and localities on the implementation of Notice No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo regarding the policy of investing in the construction of schools in border communes.

At the meeting, leaders of departments, agencies, and eight border communes, including Loc Thanh, Loc Tan, Loc Thanh, Tan Tien, Thien Hung, Hung Phuoc, Dak O, and Bu Gia Map, reported on and discussed the current status and network of schools. They also put forward proposals concerning the construction of boarding and semi-boarding schools, as well as policies for semi-boarding institutions.

According to the Department of Education and Training, recently, implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department chaired the establishment of 4 inspection teams, reviewed and determined the need for investment and construction of facilities for boarding and semi-boarding schools in border communes. The Department has drafted a Project on the Comprehensive Development of Teaching and Learning Quality in Border Communes of Dong Nai Province for the period 2025-2030 and sent it to relevant localities for comments.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province Huynh Thi Hang noted: The Project on Comprehensive Development of Teaching and Learning Quality in Border Communes of Dong Nai Province for the period 2025-2030 must clearly identify the subjects, scope, implementation stages, calculate and balance resources and needs to be effective and practical.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Thi Hang suggested that the Department of Education and Training continue to take the lead in conducting surveys to assess the actual situation in each locality, school, and remote area, and on that basis propose effective solutions. Relevant communes should continue providing substantive feedback to help supplement and complete the project. Departments and agencies should also review regulations to ensure the effective implementation of assigned tasks related to the project. The project must be finalized by September 20 at the latest in order to move on to the next steps and ensure progress. During the project's development, it is necessary to boldly propose policy mechanisms and strive to achieve the best outcomes for students and teachers, based on available resources and practical conditions, while also exercising careful consideration to avoid waste.

The Department of Education and Training coordinates with departments, branches, sectors, and localities to advise on the establishment of a provincial Working Group to implement Conclusion 81 of the Politburo.

Comrade Huynh Thi Hang suggested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province develop a plan to launch an appeal for all levels, sectors, localities, organizations, individuals, businesses, and society as a whole to join hands in supporting the construction and renovation of schools in border communes. At the same time, it is necessary to provide in-depth and substantive feedback to help ensure the development of effective projects.
