On August 12, the Loc Thanh border commune solemnly held its first Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending and directing the congress was Le Truong Son, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee.
Also present at the event were former leaders of the former Binh Phuoc Province and former Loc Ninh District; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and units; along with 131 official delegates representing 262 Party members from 23 grassroots Party cells under the commune’s Party Committee.

Loc Thanh is one of eight border communes of Dong Nai Province, established by maintaining the existing natural area and population size of Loc Hoa and Loc Thanh Communes. The commune currently coordinates the management of a more than 40-kilometer border section with 10 main boundary markers.
During the 2020-2025 term, despite numerous difficulties and challenges, the commune’s Party Committee fulfilled and has exceeded the targets set by its resolution. To date, 100% of inter-commune roads have been asphalted, and inter-hamlet roads have been paved, meeting the requirements for the local socio-economic development.
National defense, security, and public order have been firmly maintained. Over the term, the commune police have coordinated to detect, arrest, and handle 154 cases involving 266 individuals related to social security, economic violations, drugs, environmental issues, and social evils. They have organized more than 2,800 patrols with over 6,000 officers and soldiers participating in armed patrols, ensuring security, public order, and road traffic safety; and handled 543 violations, contributing nearly VND 147 million to the state budget.

With the motto “Solidarity – Democracy – Discipline – Breakthrough – Development,” the congress focused on discussions and voting to approve 17 key targets and tasks, as well as three breakthrough programs for the 2025-2030 term.

In his guidance, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Le Truong Son emphasized that Loc Thanh holds a particularly strategic geographic position. Situated along National Highway 13, with a long border and home to the Hoa Lu International Border Gate Economic Zone, the commune enjoys major advantages for strong growth.
Agreeing with the orientations, key objectives, and breakthrough areas set for the new term, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Le Truong Son suggested that the commune should give special attention to Party building and developing a clean, strong political system. He called for bold proposals to invest in arterial transportation and digital infrastructure to better leverage border-gate economic potential.
Managing a more than 40-kilometer border, the commune should continue promoting the great national unity bloc, strengthening the “people’s heart” security posture, addressing ethnic and religious issues effectively, preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minorities, and generating comprehensive strength for national construction and defense.
Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee Le Truong Son expressed his belief that, with the unity and resilience of past generations, and the strong will and aspiration for progress among the Party Committee, authorities, and people, Loc Thanh will turn challenges into opportunities, successfully implement the congress’s targets and resolutions, and gradually develop comprehensively and sustainably, contributing to Dong Nai’s and the nation’s advancement into a new era.
