Dong Tam commune strives for comprehensive development, meeting advanced new-style rural standards

On the afternoon of August 12, the first Party Congress of Dong Tam Commune for the 2025-2030 term held its official session. Attending and directing the congress was Giang Thi Phuong Hanh, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Ward People’s Council; representatives of provincial Party bodies; local leaders; and 200 delegates representing more than 700 Party members across the commune’s Party Committee.

Dong Tam Commune was established through the merger of three communes of Dong Tam, Dong Tien and Tan Phuoc from the former Dong Phu District, with a total area of more than 248 square kilometers and a population exceeding 36,000.

During the 2020-2025 term, all six economic targets have been surpassed compared to the congress resolution, with annual budget revenue growing by 6-10%. National defense and security have been further consolidated.

Looking to the 2025-2030 term, the Dong Tam Commune Party Committee sets key goals, including maintaining an average annual growth rate of total product value at 10% and increasing annual budget revenue by 10%. The commune aims for comprehensive development with synchronized infrastructure, striving to meet advanced new-style rural standards and improve the quality of life for its residents.

In her guidance speech, Giang Thi Phuong Hanh, Member of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Ward People’s Council urged Dong Tam Commune to uphold unity and consensus, fostering high agreement across society and mobilizing all resources for development. She emphasized promoting high-tech agriculture, leveraging local advantages, and expanding development space to live up to the expectations of the people.
