Developing Tan Tien to become the economic locomotive of the province's border area

On the morning of August 14, the Tan Tien Commune Party Committee convened its first Congress for the 2025–2030 term. Attending the event were Major General Nguyen Duc Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Police; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; along with 158 delegates representing the 683 Party members of the entire Commune Party Committee.

Following the merger of the former communes of Tan Tien, Tan Thanh, and Loc An, the newly established Tan Tien Commune now covers an area of more than 147 square kilometers with a population of 30,160, with ethnic minorities accounting for 29.4%. The commune shares a border of over 32 kilometers with the Kingdom of Cambodia.

During the 2020–2025 term, guided by a spirit of solidarity and determination to overcome challenges, the Party Committee, government, and people of Tan Tien Commune achieved significant results, with all targets met or exceeded compared to the set resolution. Party building and rectification efforts were carried out safely, with increasing order and effectiveness. The local economy maintained a strong growth rate, with structural shifts aligned with the commune's specific conditions. The total value of goods produced is estimated at 6,794 billion VND, and the average per capita income is estimated at over 70 million VND per year.

With the motto "Solidarity - Discipline - Democracy - Innovation - Development," the 1st Tan Tien Commune Party Congress set 18 targets, 7 key tasks, and 3 breakthrough areas. Leveraging its considerable advantages in land resources, the locality has identified investment in completing transport infrastructure, applying digital transformation and science-technology in association with the development of cultivation zones, and promoting high-tech agriculture as a spearhead direction to drive socio-economic development and improve people's quality of life in the new term.

Fully endorsing the groups of targets, tasks, and breakthrough areas set by the congress for the 2025-2030 term, Major General Nguyen Duc Hai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police Department, requested that the Tan Tien Commune Party Committee continue to promote solidarity and unity in Party building, closely coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure national defense and security, and firmly safeguard border security and sovereignty. With substantial development potential, the locality should fully tap its existing strengths and advantages, make agriculture a driving force for sustainable development, and build Tan Tien Commune into an economic locomotive in the province's border area.
