Developing Loc Ninh commune into a border urban center

On the morning of August 12, the Party Committee of Loc Ninh commune organized the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the commune for the 2025-2030 term. Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son attended and directed the congress.

Also attending the event were former leaders of former Binh Phuoc province, former Loc Ninh district; leaders of departments, agencies and 249 official delegates representing over 1,000 party members from 51 affiliated branches and party committees.

In the 2020-2025 term, despite facing many intertwined difficulties and challenges, with high political determination, the Party Committee, government, and people of Loc Ninh commune have made efforts and achieved many important and comprehensive results in all fields.

The commune's economic growth rate has further developed stably, in which the production value of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries has accounted for 55%; industry and construction 21%; trade and services 24%, respectively. Average per capita income has reached 89 million VND/year. As economic development, the material and spiritual lives of the people have changed significantly; the commune's infrastructure has been increasingly invested in, becoming spacious and beautiful.

In the 2025-2030 term, the commune's Party Committee has set 20 specific targets, including: Annual budget revenue growth rate reaching 7%; disbursement of capital construction investment hitting 100% of the allocated capital plan; average annual total product value growth rate hitting 9.5%; annually coordinating, supporting, and mobilizing to establish of 3-5 enterprises and 3-5 OCOP products achieving 3 stars; striving to achieve advanced new-style rural commune status by the end of the term; average per capita income reaching 135 million VND/year by 2030…

Delivering directive speech at the congress, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the Party Committee of Loc Ninh commune in the 2020-2025 term. These achievements are not only a source of pride for the Party Committee and people of Loc Ninh commune but also contribute significantly to the successful implementation of the resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son noted: In the coming time, the commune needs to promote the spirit of solidarity, continue to strengthen the building of a transparent and strong Party and political system; uphold the principles of Party organization and activities; improve the leadership capacity and combativeness of Party organizations, and the quality of cadres and party members.

Suggesting some directions for Loc Ninh to develop commensurate with its former status as the "resistance capital" of the country, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son said: In the coming time, the commune needs to focus on developing agricultural economy towards high-tech application, effectively exploiting the potential of land and labor, developing trade and services to gradually improve people's lives.

Along with that, the commune needs to promote administrative reform, build an e-government, and improve the quality of services for people and businesses. At the same time, it needs to have a long-term vision strategy, boldly propose targets to build Loc Ninh into a border urban area, an economic, cultural, and foreign affairs center of the province.

Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son proposed: From the orientations outlined through the resolution targets, as well as the breakthrough programs approved at the congress, Loc Ninh urgently implemented its action plan with the goal of comprehensive development for the commune, bringing a more prosperous and happy life to the people; creating a new atmosphere and new opportunities to join Dong Nai province and the whole country in entering a new era of faster, stronger, and more sustainable development.
