Dak Nhau eyes a multidimensional poverty rate at below 1.5%

On August 9, the Party Committee of Dak Nhau Commune, Dong Nai Province held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress comprehensively assessed the results of the past term, and set out goals and breakthrough solutions to promote the commune’s rapid and sustainable development.

Also attending the congress were Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dong Nai Province Nguyen Huu Nguyen; leaders of departments, branches and 139 official delegates representing 482 Party members in the entire Party Committee of the commune.

Over the past 5 years, the Dak Nhau Commune Party Committee has completed and exceeded 12 out of 14 targets of the resolution. The economy has grown steadily, with average income per capita reaching over 65 million VND/year. The rate of poor households has dropped to below 2%. Infrastructure has been invested synchronously, the rural appearance has improved, and the material and spiritual life of the people has improved significantly.

Secretary of Dak Nhau Commune Party Committee Nguyen Trong Lam shared: “The success of the past term is the result of the consensus and joint efforts from the Party Committee, the government and the people. This is the foundation for us to confidently enter the new term with the highest determination”.

The congress set out breakthrough solutions: Concerning the overall planning, the solutions mention the management of construction order, and the development of a synchronous, inter-regional transport infrastructure; comprehensive new-style rural development, housing expansion, and social security assurance; agricultural restructuring, building sustainable value chains and applying high technology; as well as developing high-quality human resources, adopting digital transformation, and preserving and promoting ethnic cultural identity in association with tourism. A number of key targets and tasks for the 2025–2030 term were also identified, including increasing the commune’s average per capita income by at least 9–10% by 2030 compared to 2025, and reducing the multidimensional poverty rate to below 1.5% by 2030

Regarding the goals and key solutions in the coming time, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Nhau Commune To Hoai Nam said: "We will focus on developing agriculture associated with building advanced new-style rural areas; and at the same time, mobilizing maximum investment resources, ensuring social security and maintaining security and order".

In his directive remarks at the congress, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province Ha Anh Dung suggested  Dak Nhau Commune Party Committee to focus on implementing well a number of key tasks in fully and deeply understanding the position, functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure; working relationships, and methods of operation of the commune-level Party Committee in the new period. At the same time, it must focus on building a commune-level government apparatus that is truly close to the people and honest, operates effectively and efficiently, and improves the quality of public service; and all requests of the people must be handled and resolved from the commune...

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development", the Party Executive Committee of Dak Nhau commune for the 2025-2030 term consists of 27 capable and prestigious cadres who meet the requirements of the task. The consensus of the entire Party Committee, government and people in the commune will be a strong driving force for Dak Nhau to successfully implement the resolution, making the homeland increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
