Creating momentum for Long Binh ward to become a growth driver for Dong Nai

On the morning of August 13, the Party Committee of Long Binh ward officially held the 1st Congress, 2025-2030 tenure, with the participation of 222 delegates, representing nearly 3,000 Party members of the ward's Party Committee.

The congress was attended by Nguyen Minh Hoi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Minh Hoi; and Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Long Hung ward, and representatives of the Party agencies of the Provincial Party Committee.

Long Binh ward was founded from the mergence of 3 wards of former Bien Hoa city, including: Long Binh, Ho Nai, and Tan Bien wards. In the 2020-2025 tenure, the Party Committee and people of the 3 wards have united to implement and complete the goals and tasks set forth in the Party Committee's Resolution.

Party building and the political system have been focused. Party members participating in studying Party directives and resolutions have reached a high rate. Party membership enlargement work has been given attention, with 245 new Party members admitted during the term (exceeding the assigned target). The annual evaluation of the quality of Party organizations and Party members has been carried out strictly. The government apparatus has been consolidated, appropriate, and streamlined.

The socio- economy has developed increasingly; political security, social order, and safety have been strengthened. The economic structure has been shifted in the right direction. Planning, land management, and urban management has seen many positive changes, with many pressing issues being resolved. Social welfare policies, public health care, and poverty reduction have been effectively implemented, and people's lives have improved.

Based on the achieved results and the specific situation, in the 2025-2030 tenure, the Party Committee of Long Binh ward sets 19 main targets and 6 key tasks. At the same time, it proposes 3 breakthrough fields related to planning and land management; protecting national security, effectively combating and preventing crime and social evils; and promoting digital transformation.

Speaking at the congress, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Minh Hoi agreed with the goals, key tasks, and 3 breakthrough fields proposed by the congress. He also noted that Long Binh ward needs to quickly stabilize its organizational structure, unify its ideology, and promote the unique strengths of the locality; overcome the shortcomings and limitations identified at the congress. More importantly, there’s a need to quickly complete a streamlined, effective, and efficient government apparatus that is closely connected with the people, close to the people, and worthy of being one of the central wards that plays a leading role in the development of Dong Nai province.

To successfully implement the goals and tasks set for the new term, Nguyen Minh Hoi proposed: The ward's Party Committee should focus on building a truly transparent and strong Party and political system; build a staff of cadres and Party members with qualifications, ethics, and capacity commensurate with their tasks. It’s necessary to innovate and improve the effectiveness of the Fatherland Front and political-social organizations, and do a good job of gathering all strata of people, Nguyen Minh Hoi added.

In addition, the congress should lead in rapid, sustainable, and effective economic development; ensure social welfare policies and gradually improve the quality of life for local people, along with implementing synchronous and scientific planning, integrated with provincial planning, to create momentum for Long Binh ward to become a driving force for the province's development.

At the same time, the congress was also requested to strengthen land, construction, and resource management, effective, sustainable environment. Efforts must be made to ensure a solid national defense and security potential, avoiding passivity and unexpectedness; ensuring political security, social order and safety, and addressing issues at the grassroots level.

In addition to discussing and contributing ideas to the Draft Document of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term and the 14th National Party Congress, the Ward Party Committee needs to quickly complete the plan for implementing the congress's resolution, and build the working regulations of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee to ensure continuous and uninterrupted Party leadership.
