(ĐN) - On the morning of August 19, the 16th Army Corps Party Congress continued its third working day with key contents and held a closing ceremony. The closing session was attended by 138 delegates representing nearly 1,000 Party members across the Corps.
The morning session began with the election of delegates who will attend the 12th Congress of the Party Organisation of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), including two official delegates and one alternate delegate. The Congress simultaneously focused on discussing and providing feedback on the draft political report submitted to the 12th Congress of the Party Organisation of the VPA.

After two days of working in an urgent, serious spirit and in a democratic, united and highly responsible atmosphere, the 6th Congress of the 16th Corps Party Committee (2025–2030) successfully completed its agenda.
At the closing ceremony, Colonel Trinh Pham Hoa, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Commander of the 16th Corps, emphasized that the Congress had highlighted political responsibility, promoted democratic participation, and pooled collective wisdom. Delegates actively discussed, offered substantive contributions, and objectively evaluated the leadership results in implementing the 2020–2025 term resolution. The Congress also approved orientations, objectives, targets, tasks, and leadership solutions for the upcoming term, and contributed high-quality input to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th Party Congress and the draft political report submitted by the Central Military Commission to the the 12th Congress of the Party Organisation of the VPA.

The Congress set forth the goals and tasks for the 16th Corps Party Committee for the coming term: "Leveraging combined strengths, building a clean and strong Party Committee, fostering sustainable Corps development, successfully completing assigned missions, contributing to socio-economic development, maintaining robust national defense and security in project areas, and safeguarding the Socialist Republic of Vietnam."

The Congress elected the 6th Executive Committee of the 16th Corps Party Committee and the delegation that will attend the 12th Congress of the Party Organisation of the VPA, ensuring proper standards and representation while reflecting the Committee’s collective wisdom, cohesion, and commitment. The new Executive Committee and delegation are believed that they will successfully fulfill their assigned responsibilities.
