Dong Nai’s aspiration to transform into "Dragon”

Is it too soon for Dong Nai to speak of an ambitious goal "transforming into a "dragon”? Not at all. This is not just a dream or a speculative forecast, but a deeply rooted aspiration, backed by political will and strategic foresight. It reflects the enduring resolve of the province’s Party, authorities, and people, who have consistently embraced a spirit of resilience, innovation, and the determination to lead rather than follow.

What remains decisive in turning this ambition into reality is maintaining the “red thread” of unity, fostering bold reform thinking, and swiftly enacting breakthrough policies. A shared sense of urgency and pioneering spirit is critical if Dong Nai is to stride confidently towards sustainable prosperity.

Amid many challenges on the road to high-speed economic growth, the entire political system, citizens, and business community are rallying behind the province’s overarching goal—achieving double-digit growth in 2025. Encouragingly, many key economic indicators in the first half of this year have exceeded expectations. Still, the provincial Party Committee aims higher. To meet the target of 10% annual growth, the third quarter must hit 10.97%, and the fourth quarter must leap to 12.2%.

However, major bottlenecks and internal weaknesses remain. The recent provincial Party Committee's conference candidly identified these issues, reaffirming a no-compromise stance: “We only discuss solutions, not setbacks.” The most pressing tasks now are to finalize and strictly manage the provincial master plan, enhance human resource quality, accelerate scientific and technological breakthroughs, drive innovation and digital transformation, and eliminate inertia within a segment of the public workforce.

The province’s top leader emphasized Dong Nai’s two key assets are abundant land and intellectual capital, especially the leadership and dedication of its core personnel. As the 2025–2030 term begins, the Party and government are tasked with building “wealthy people, strong country.” Confident in its potential, the province is determined to gradually emerge as a true “dragon” on Vietnam’s economic map. To ensure accountability, the performance of key officials will be reviewed every six months, an effort to ignite passion, bold thinking, and integrity while removing underperformers from the system.

As a new era dawns, Dong Nai stands poised to forge ahead together the nation, fully aware of its role as a leading economic locomotive. Day by day, officials, Party members, and citizens are picking up the pace, determined to sketch out the silhouette of an “Asian dragon” that proudly bears the name Vietnam.

Dong Nai’s transformation is no longer a distant dream, the people are ready and the momentum is building.
