Focus on achieving 30 key targets

Chairman Vo Tan Duc of the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee stated that despite the achievements, the province’s socio-economic situation still faces several difficulties and limitations in the first half. Production and business activities in certain sectors, especially real estate, continue to struggle. Although authorities at all levels have paid attention to addressing obstacles for enterprises and key national and provincial projects, progress has yet to meet expectations. Public investment disbursement has improved compared to the same period last year, but the overall rate remains low, mainly due to issues related to investment preparation and site clearance.

The Chairman emphasized that in the second half, Dong Nai will focus on fulfilling 30 key targets, including 9 economic indicators, 4 environmental indicators, 10 indicators related to social welfare, 3 indicators on culture, education and training, and 4 indicators concerning national defense, security, and social order.

To achieve and surpass the 30 above targets, Mr. Vo Tan Duc emphasized that the province will focus on implementing key tasks and solutions in the remaining months. In particular, priority will be given to promoting economic growth. Dong Nai will accelerate the development of modern and synchronized infrastructure, with a focus on key national transportation projects and inter-regional initiatives. The province will also continue to restructure sectors in alignment with digital transformation and green transition.

At the same time, the province will also focus on cultural and social sectors; improving the quality of human resources; promoting science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Efforts will be stepped up in land and natural resource management, environmental protection, green development, and proactive climate change response.

The province will also actively and urgently mobilize resources to improve institutions and legal frameworks in tandem with restructuring administrative apparatus and local government at two levels. Efforts will be made to enhance administrative reform, remove bottlenecks for production and business, and unlock all potential development resources. Additionally, national defense and security will be strengthened, international integration promoted, and information and communication efforts intensified.
