Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority established  

(ĐN) – On July 18, Chairman Vo Tan Duc of the provincial People’s Committee chaired a conference to announce the official establishment of Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority (DEIZA). Personnel appointment decisions were also presented at the event.

The conference was attended by Vice Chairman Nguyen Thi Hoang of the provincial People’s Committee along with leaders of related departments and agencies.

The conference approved Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1486/QD-TTg on the establishment of Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority through the merger of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, Dong Nai Hi-Tech and Biotechnology Park and Binh Phuoc Economic Zones Authority.

At the conference, decisions on the transfer and appointment of leadership and management officials, signed and issued by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, were officially handed over.

Accordingly, Mr. Pham Viet Phuong, Head of Dong Nai Hi-Tech and Biotechnology Park, was appointed as Deputy Head of the DEIZA for a term of five years. He was also assigned to temporarily oversee and manage the operations of the DEIZA for 12 months, pending the appointment of a permanent Head.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Chien, Head of Binh Phuoc Economic Zones Authority, was appointed as Deputy Head of the DEIZA for a five-year term.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Deputy Head of Binh Phuoc Economic Zones Authority, was appointed as Deputy Head of the DEIZA, with the appointment term lasting from the signing date until his official retirement, in accordance with current regulations.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Quoc An and Mr. Do Thanh Phuoc, Deputy Heads of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, as well as Mr. Hoang Huu Vu and Mr. Nguyen Trong Tien, Deputy Heads of Binh Phuoc Economic Zones Authority, were appointed as Deputy Heads of the DEIZA for five-year terms.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman Vo Tan Duc emphasized that the Prime Minister’s decision to establish the Dong Nai Economic and Industrial Zones Authority and appoint its leadership marked an important milestone in efforts to streamline and restructure the administrative system toward greater efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with the province’s development goals.

Chairman Vo Tan Duc urged the DEIZA leadership to swiftly stabilize the organizational structure, complete the staffing of relevant units, and promptly issue regulations defining functions, tasks, operational procedures, and job positions to ensure smooth and effective management and operations.

He particularly emphasized the need for the DEIZA to continue promoting administrative reform and improving the quality of services provided to investors and businesses. The satisfaction of enterprises should serve as the key benchmark for evaluating performance. The Authority must strive to become a professional, disciplined, dynamic, integrated, and modern organization, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of Dong Nai province.
