At the ceremony held in Dong Nai on August 7, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Head of the PCC Organisation Commission Truong Thi Mai presented the Politburo’s decision to assign Nguyen Hong Linh, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the PCC Commission for Mass Mobilisation to hold the position of Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure.
Previously, Nguyen Phu Cuong, former Secretary of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee was elected by the 15th National Assembly (NA) as a member of the NA Standing Committee and Chairman of the NA Finance-Budget Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo member Mai expressed her belief that in his new position, Nguyen Hong Linh would lead the Dong Nai provincial Party Committee to successfully implementing the Resolution from its Party Congress (2020-2025 tenure), and in the immediate future, focus on leading and directing the implementation of measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic in the province.
