Addressing at the host, Secretary Nguyen Phu Cuong said that the Singapore ranks fourth among 45 countries and territories investing in the province with more than 70 valid projects worth some US$3.6 billion. Dong Nai's most attractive sectors for Singaporean investors are real estate, industry and services. Many of them are being effectively operated in the province.
Secretary Cuong also stressed that the province hopes to receive more investments from Singapore, especially in hi-tech industry and tourist.
Expressing his delight at the growth of ties between Vietnam as well as Dong Nai and Singapore, Chairman Cao Tien Dung said in the coming time, the province would focus on waste-to-energy projects, animal waste treatment system, transportation infrastructure and social housing projects, expressing his hope that Singapore will become a partner of the province in these fields.
On his part, Consul General Roy Kho said Dong Nai is an attractive investment destination for Singaporean enterprises and pledged to act as a bridge for Singaporean firms’ investment in the province.
