The 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPVCC) spent the first working day of its 10th meeting in Hanoi on May 16 discussing several draft reports.
In the morning, Politburo member and permanent member of the CPVCC’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong presented the meeting’s working programme.
Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong then delivered an opening speech.
The delegates worked in groups to discuss a draft political report, as well as other draft reports on the decade-long implementation of the 2011 Platform, the implementation of the socio-economic development strategy for 2011-2020 and the building of the socio-economic development strategy for 2021-2030, and on Party building and the execution of the Party’s statutes.
They also looked into a report on the socio-economic situation between 2016-2020 and the 2021-2025 socio-economic development plan.
The committee continued these discussions during the afternoon session.
