Japanese parliamentarians visit Vietnam

Chinh, who is also Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group (VJFPG), hailed the good relations between the two legislatures, including the cooperation between the VJFPG and the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance.

He reiterated the Vietnam National Assembly’s readiness to support the development of the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership towards yielding practical results.

Both nations are celebrating the 45th anniversary of their diplomatic relations (1973 – 2018) this year which has marked notable achievements across politics, socio-economy, culture, education, and people-to-people exchange, he told his guests.

Chin said Vietnam desires to receive greater support from Japanese parliamentarians to ensure the effective implementation of the joint projects on human resources training and administrative reform.

He also extended his sympathy to flood victims in Japan, wishing that the country would soon recover from the natural disaster.

Kawamura Takeo, who is also Vice Chairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance, in turn held that bilateral ties progressed steadily in diverse fields from politics and economics, to culture and education and hoped that Vietnam will continue facilitating Japanese investors’ operations in the country.
